Whenever I resume from sleep mode voice recognition turns itself off. It also does this when I resume from hibernation mode. This is a major problem for me since I am handicapped and cannot use my hands to restart voice recognition.
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium software on a Toshiba A135-S4427 with 1 GB of ram and 2 GB ready boost memory.
Another point of information, when I restart the computer voice recognition starts normally.
If anybody knows what I can do to prevent voice recognition from turning itself off please let me know.
I don't know if this is an option because I don't know the extent of your handicap, but if possible, don't place the computer in sleep or hibernate mode. The reason is that some devices, and sometimes programs, do not operate properly when they resume, as you have encountered. I have come across computers that if allowed to sleep or hibernate, the USB ports would not operate until after a restart. I know this probably the answer you are looking for but if at all possible, I recommend either leaving the computer on normally or shutting it down. I hope this helps.

I've got a NV52, running windows 7. The card reader installed drivers after I inserted it, but I don't see it in 'my computer' as drive. Is there something that I need to update?
