Question about HP DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer

My printer wont print and the lights keep blinking

I think the ink button is blinking but i have new ink cartridges so i don't know what the problem is. and it just wont print

The printer wont let me do anything because it says I have an alignment problem and to take the tape off of ink cartridge but there is no tape! Its not a new cartridge I don't know what its talking...


May be dry the ink or refill ink cartridge so , it could't properly ink out the nozzle. If possible u can batter manually clean the print head. Then try to it. Otherwise need to change the ink cartridge.

The green power button blinks continuously and the printer will not print any type of job. The last job printed was very clear so I don't think I need a new ink cartridge. The status of the printer shows...


ya u need now inkjet cartridge or ur printers card dead 1st chack put black cartridge in ur printers and color cartridge out then see green light blinks if blinks black cartridge out and color cartridge put in the printers then u know thanls

Magenta and yellow wont print ,new cartridges,cleaned print head still wont print .black and cyan work fine



Forgive me for asking this, but roughly speaking about 80 to 95% of problems involving ink or toner are resolved by the following:
Are you using a factory new ink cartridge supplied by the manufacturer of the printer?
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using the manufacturer’s new ink cartridges, then please contact their technical support group. Factory new cartridges usually have warranties on them.

HP 5150 REPLACED BOTH CARTRIDGES LIGHT STILL BLINKING AND WONT PRINT



Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Red and green light both flashing, cartridge wont move, printer not responding


Both lights flashing may be an indication that there is a ink cartridge failure.

Please consider the following and let me know if does not match.

After replacing with new catridges, it always blink a red light on the power button

Printer Wont print even with new ink


that means, 1 or more of the carts is showing low on ink or it might not being recognized. it might be the ink has a problem or the printer has a problem that it cant recognize the ink. try to Remove and reInstall Cartridges,
Press the nx200ug.1.106.4.jpg Stop button. The print head moves to the nx200ug.1.106.5.jpg position to indicate which cartridge is low or expended. Press the nx200ug.1.106.7.jpg Stop button again. If another cartridge is low or expended, the print head moves to the nx200ug.1.106.8.jpg position. Press the nx200ug.1.106.9.jpg Stop button again to see if more cartridges are expended. If no other cartridges are low or expended, the print head moves to the replacement position on the right. once you've identify w/c color has a problem, and removing and reinserting it does not resolve the issue, try another ink of that same color, if the issue persist, that means the printer is broken, call epson to get a replacement printer if it is with in 1 yr. from the date of purchase

Ink cartridge light keeps blinking


you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.

If your software is installed correctly when your printer, connected via USB?, the printer icon in the system tray can be clicked and bring up the printer utility. From there or at the printer control panel you can instruct it to align and or clean the print heads.

Red "drop" shaped light blinking


On my C62 I it usually shows the "Status Monitor" when trying to print, which shows the levels for B/W & Colour.
If not go to CP/Printers, select the C62 (make sure ON) then Properties, then the Printing Prefs button (at bottom). The Main tab usually has this fill level indicator; also try the Maintenance Tab Status Monitor option. These are real awkward to find from scratch but useful when you get to know they're there.

Also if you remove and replace a cartridge you are usually given the option to say whether it is a new or old cartridge - choose new if you know it's nearly full. Don't take NO for an answer to their stupid questions!!!
