When the first screen displays, immediately press the F10 key if your computer was built in 2006 or later (came with Vista). Press the F1 key if your computer was built before 2006 (XP or earlier). Press the key once every second until a BIOS Setup utility screen opens.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Does the board work? Maybe you tried an unsuccessful BIOS upgrade?

Hi, i want to set up cd drive on first boot. How do i can access to setup?

If I don't know what computer you have It makes helping you more difficult.

Here are some options for different computers:

  • Turn on the computer, immediately hit the F2 button. - Most computers with Phoenix BIOS.
  • Turn on the computer, during POST hit the Delete button - Most computers with AMI BIOS
  • Turn on the computer, hit Ctrl+Alt+F3, Ctrl+Alt+Ins, or Fn+F1 - Older Lenovo.
  • Turn on the computer, immediately hit the F10 button. - Some Dell computers.
  • Turn on the computer, hit Fn+Esc or Fn+F1. Older Dell laptops.
If you tell me exactly what you have, I'll tell you exactly what to do ;)

I have a 2005 envoy, my key fab only works if im right beside the car, i changed the battery and it still will only work if im right beside it, the fob is not even a year old, can it be screwed already?

remotes ocassionaly need to be resynched with the vechile. I am not sure on the exact steps for your vechile but it should state in the manual. Like my 99 I have to have door open, and push lock and unlock buttons on remote at the same time for 15 seconds. Works great for a year or so then needs it again. Should be located under remote or key FAB, just look through the manual good.

When I turn my laptop on a screen from American Megatrends appear

When you are told to press F2 you are opening the BIOS screen. What is the error that it says right before the Hit F2 key. Most probably once you are in the Bios you will see one of the options to load default, click that then say ok, then hit F10 and then say yes to reboot. That should fix it.

Bios access on a tiny

Ok sometimes when I do not know exactly what is the exact key to hit to get to bios setting. You can do this procedure.

After POST quickly hit the button PAUSE or after pressing On button hit PAUSE then ENTER until you seen the list of button to be hit to get into bios setting.

Normally it will flag some Button to be hit like hit ESC = to go to bios setting, F1 = for help and others. if you doesnt catch it up reboot it again.

Hope it helps. Goodluck

not exactly, the old pentiums need to have bios reinstalled from dos command screen, or from a disk. not autoinstall like the newer pentiums and above.

Presario C700 keyboard problem

Hello Dan-0,

The problem probably does not rely on the BIOS, if anything your operating system may have detected the wrong keyboard. Can you give me an example of what keys exactly are coming out funny.. for instance when you press L does it show up 7 or @ or a character in a different language?

What operating system are you using? Windows/Linux, XP,Vista?

Regards,

-Chester
