Clear Service Code Error Message

I've replaced fuser unit and photocondutor unit. Service code error 553 remains on screen. How can I reset this?

Thanks, I'm not a tech. The local vendor said I could replace both the fuser & photoconductor myself.

They gave me some instructions similar to yours as follows, but I can't make it work - I don't have an Enter button.

Hold up & down cursor at same time

    Press Enter

    Scroll down to SP5810

    Press 1 and Enter

    Turn Red power switch off

Do I need to be in a particular screen when I hold down the cursors?

    Thanks,

Thanks for your help. You hold the cursor keys then let up and press the OK button.

The service rep was able to walk me through the proceedure over the phone.

You have to:
press the arrows "up" and "down" at the same time for five seconds
press the OK button
a new menu appears
select option 2: ENGINE
with the arrows navigate and select option number: 5 (MODE)
now press the right arrow until you see "810. SC RESET".
press ok
and later press "execute" (you will see it in the screen of the printer)
press "ESC" until you exit all menus
power off the printer for 30 seconds
and.... VOILá........

thats all

Run SP-5-810 (techs only)

I've not performed it on this printer before, but it should be similar to what you said, only hold the cursor keys for about 5 secs. then press "ok"...you should see "SYSTEMver x.xx/ 1. Service".
Use arrows to scroll to "Service: Controller service modes". Press "ok" to select.
Then you need to get to the SP number. I beleive you will scroll to"5" which will probably say "Mode", Press "ok", scroll to "810" press "ok". then you should see "SC reset" (you may have to scroll to "001" to see this opr it may come up??), Press "ok" to reset. Turn MAIN power off/on.
I can't stress enough how important it is to stay away from entering any other modes here due to curiosity or otherwise.....Find and ebnter the SC reset mode only - or you could cause severe problems.
    Anyway, I hope this helps.

The lcd display an error code ....E04-01...and i need to get into service mode to clear the message..thanks help please

Did you make a repair or replace the fuser and need to reset the code?; Because if you didn't fix the problem, you'll still get the same low fuser temperature error code.
Press <function>, <original size (ledger)>, <3>
to enter service mode, go to F9-05-04 (RAM Initialize, fuser reset, power off/on)
If the E4-01 error code returns you have a defective thermistor/thermostat.

Reset Error codes

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode:
press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside)
press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneousley)
press "additional functions" again
The display should show a choice of
copier,feeder,sorter,fax,or board service modes
Select copier
select clear
select ERR
press OK
Turn power off & back on.

After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils @ 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair.

Error code 000000-0001

The error code has to do with the fuser unit. Try to reset the error code in service mode. If that will not clear it, you will need to replace the fuser unit...... Good Luck

I have a Konica Minolta bizhub D2510F it gives me this error C0501. after searching around I found out that this error is a Fuser error. I replaced the Fuser and the PhotoConductor but I still get the same...

The error has to be manually reset. Here is what I found from the official procedure. Hope it works. How to clear a fuser error code (C0500, C0501, C0510, C0511, C0520, C0521). Solution To clear the fuser error code, perform the following after correcting the cause:
1. With power ON, open the front door and locate the small, rectangular hole below the imaging unit removal tool.
Note: It is not in the same location as the models 7915/7920.
2. Insert a suitable object into the hole to actuate the reset switch .3. The code should clear and a message to close the front door should appear.

Sharp AR-5127 H2-00 code reset

Sharp Fuser
H2-0 Fusing unit temperature error
H4-0 The fusing unit doesn't heat up.
***ALWAYS DISCONNECT POWER WHEN WORKING ON MACHINE***
You have to reset fuser errors with simulation 14. Push P * C * then 14 then Start (the button you use to make copies) and it should reset the code. If not then replace the fuser.
SM 5-1 should turn the lamp on. If lamp blinks on and off it is the thermistor, if it does not it is the lamp, but check the contacts on the lamp/fuser -- they have been known to erode.
Also check thermal fuse, if defective replace.

SC 553 is a fuser overheat error. If you have a fuser great, but you will still have to reset the code. Clear modes, 1, 0 ,7, press and hold clear/stop key. Menu will change, select copy sp. From there, select 5, (mode), scroll till you get to 5810. Select it, and press execute, then exit back to copy sp. Select 7 (data log) then scroll until you get to 7807. Select it, and press execute. Exit all of the way out, and recycle the power.

If it comes to ready, great. Try it. If it codes out again, you have a problem, possibly thermisters, (in the fuser), power supply getting stuck on, I/O board not regulating the power supply. Could be any of these things.

But start by resetting the code. Could be a a thermister got some toner stuck under it, and the other thermister detected a difference. It really could be that easy.
