first check to see if you have water coming in from the water line.shut off water valve, disconnect line at back of unit, turn valve back on making sure it goes into a bucket.if you have water,reconnect.2 possible problems, bad water solonoid valve or froze water line..Sometimes the actual switch sticks but not likely your problem.you would have to check voltage at solonoid valve.if you have water coming in and voltage at solonoid when when you hit the water button, then it is the solonoid.if not, may be frozen internal water line as they run threw the bottom of the freezer .
First, make sure your icemaker is on. if the switch has been acidentally flipped, that is why you have no water coming in. next see if the line is pinched behind the fridge.also check to see that a child or maybe someone cleaning didnt turn it off at the water supply line. if neither of these, check to see if you water supply is working. shut it off, remove the line, turn it on again with a glass or bowl underneath to be certain you have a water supply. if that is ok, check your water line again that goes to your icemaker, it may need replacing.
The problem may not be the value , look under the front of the fridge remove long cover on bottom, you should see the water line that goes into the freezer door and a connector. Disconnect the water line, should be a quick connect and have a cup ready to check the water line and value, place water line from under fridge into the cup and press the switch on freezer door asking for water if water comes out of the water line then the value is opening and you have a frozen line in the door. Please get back with more info, good luck.
you can take a peice of weed eater line and stick through the water line in the door and see if it goes all the way through. If not then there is frozen water in the line.
if there is a coupler on the bottom of the door disconect it and try to dispence water if the water comes out there then the water valve is good and you need to defrost the line i the door a blowdryer usually works for this but it does take some time
Could be your water solenoid valve. Find the water line that goes directly to the dispenser. Follow it back to a round looking gizmo with 2 wires coming out of it. If you have an electric meter, test the two leads for voltage, usually 24 volts. If voltage is good, turn water off, disconnect line from solenoid, turn water back on. If you have water at the connection, the solenoid is bad.
Our water dispenser will work for about half a glass then the pressure immediately stops and the water flow goes to a small stream. Maytag MDZ2667HES Wide by Side. HELP! Filter was changed approx 3 months ago.
That's where the water line runs to get to the dispenser. You may have to remove the cardboard backing to see it. The line runs from the water inlet valve. That's where the supply line from the house connects to the fridge. One line goes up to the ice maker and the other goes over to the fridge side where it goes inside the fridge behind the crisper to a reservoir where the water is chilled before it goes to the dispenser. Look for the water coming out when someone else tries the dispenser. Look for a fitting that has come loose.
disconnect the line to the water dispenser at
the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the
dispenser. If it comes out good here Your water line could
be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it
goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it
comes out there. If it does leave the door open
till it thaws. A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.
first check to see if the water line is frozen in the freezer where it goes into the maker. use a hair drier to thaw it and then you should be ok. also how cold is the freezer most ice machines need around -2 to make good ice.
