Frigi daire affinity dryer model #AEQ7000E50 works about 5 min. shuts off and lights are all blinking.

Google your model number and how to retrieve the error codes. It sounds like either the heating coil or control board is bad. I have a different model that does the very same thing...they run until the cycle tried to turn the heat on then it causes an error. In my case it is the control panel and I decided since mine is old and we are a family 6 (lots of use in it) not to repair it.

This may require several trouble-shooting steps. First, it sounds as if the gas is turned on and ignited. It also, sounds as if the motor/blower is not rotating. Check the motor continuity, the electrical supply to the motor, and whether the motor (with electricity turned off) rotates by hand freely.

I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FAQE7001LW, is not heating as well as only running about 5-7 minutes of the cycle before shutting off. There are a couple things to check.

1)The gas supply valve is not open. Check to make sure that the gas valve is open.
2)The dryer does not have enough air supply to support the burner flame. Check with your local gas company to make sure that your dryer is installed correctly.
3)There is a possibility that your LP gas supply tank is empty or there has been a utility interruption of natural gas. Try refilling or replacing the tank.
If you are still having trouble with your dryer, I suggest giving it a hard reset, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, start any cycle. If you are still noticing that there is no heat and it stops 5-7 minutes into the cycle, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. That means that the ignitor is most likely failing to start the process to ignite the gas. The ignitor is like a light bulb and can burn out.

Always list your machine model, mfg, type, voltatge, etc. The more info we have the more we can help you. If you just got the machine, check your warranty. Blinking lights probably mean an electronic control problem, you're going to need a qualified tech to fix that.
