Do you have a Lexmark printer? I found this dll file and many of the comments about it relate to Lexmark printer issues. Click the below link and it will download your missing dll file. I searched for "wiafdrv.dll" and there were no hits for this dll, but there was one for the dll file "wiafbdrv.dll". Make sure before clicking the link below, that this is the correctly named dll file you need.

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/wiafbdrv.zip?0VFiP0aMgO

Extract this file and place the dll file in the correct location as specified by the error you're receiving.

If unluckily you ran into DLL error on your computer, you might experience symptoms such as pop up error messages, boot up errors, shut down errors, lock ups, screen freeze, slow pc performance, problems opening documents and many other issues.

To fix dll error, you need to download a copy of dll file to replace the old or missing one. But it is not always the case, sometimes it is complicated and inconvenience to fix dll error manually as the related registry entries of the old file has been damaged or gone corrupt. We recommended to download special-designed Error Fix Software -- Advanced PC Tweaker to help repairing Windows registry and fixing Dll errors automatically and professionally. A compact and clean registry not only greatly reduce the system errors but also brings you a much better and stable PC performance.

How to solve this problem <windows root>\system32\hal.dll.

Hi
If you get an error regarding a missing or corrupt hal.dll file, it might simply be the BOOT.INI file on the root of the C: drive that is misconfigured
1.Insert and boot from your WindowsXP CD.
2.At the first R=Repair option, press the R key
3.Press the number that corresponds to the correct location for the installation of Windows you want to repair.
Typically this will be #1
4.Type bootcfg /list to show the current entries in the BOOT.INI file
5.Type bootcfg /rebuild to repair it
6 Take out the CD ROM and type exit
OR
Better solution: This seems to always work
expand x:\i386\hal.dl_ y:\windows\system32\ X= cd rom drive letter

What is an error 1-2070 mean?

Check to see if the required files are present:
  • Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kodak. Check for 2 folders "kds_aio5000(for AiO 5000 series printers) and kds_aioesp(for ESP series)
  • Depending on printer model, open kds_aio5000 or kds_aioesp.
    • For kds_espaio it should only have the lib folder. It doesn't have the ekaiowia.dll
  • Inside the lib folder it should have cct.ekpgct, hippo.dll. Both for kds_aio5000 and kds_aioesp.
  • If hippo.dll is missing then try the following:
Option 1: 1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kodak\EasyShareSetup\printer\scanner 2. Right click on aioscnnr.msi2_bing.gif and choose uninstall once this is finished reinstall it by double clicking on the same msi file. 3. Check to see if the scanner files are now present (see above) if not then go to Option 2 Option 2: 1. Insert the Home AiO CD. Go to CD rom2_bing.gif drive\printer\scanner 2. Right click on aioscnnr.msi and choose uninstall once this is finished reinstall it by double clicking on the same msi file. 3. Check to see if the scanner files are now present (see above) if not then go to Option 3 Option 3: (manual installation) 1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kodak\EasyShareSetup\printer\scanner or on CDROM drive2_bing.gif ..\printer\scanner 2. Open the aioscnnr.cab file then look for the missing file(files needed: cct.ekpgct, hippo.dll, and ekaiowia.dll) Extract the files anywhere on to the computer (Desktop is preferable). 3. Copy the cct.ekpgct, and hippo.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kodak\kds_aio5000\lib 4. Copy the ekaiowia.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kodak\kds_aio5000

When asking to print we get a script error message

Method 1
Remove and reinstall the printer driver.

If you are using a third-party driver provided by your printer manufacturer instead of a driver included with Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), follow the instructions provided by your printer manufacturer to remove and then reinstall your printer driver.
*Click Start, point to Settings, point to Control Panel, and then click Add/Remove Programs.
*On the Install/Uninstall tab, click the item listed for your printer (if the item is displayed in the list), and then click Add/Remove.
*Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
*Right-click the printer, and then click Delete.
*Double-click Add Printer to start the Add Printer Wizard, and then click Next.
*Follow the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard to install the printer driver.
*Repeat steps 1 through 7 to remove and reinstall all printers in your Printers folder.
NOTE: You may want to install the most current printer driver available for your printer. To obtain the latest printer drivers, contact your printer manufacturer.

Method 2
Extract the original Iepeers.dll file from the Windows Me CD-ROM, and then replace the Iepeers.dll file on your hard disk.

NOTE: Do not use this method if you have installed Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Internet Tools. The Iepeers.dll file included in Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1 is a later version of the file than the version that is on the Windows Me CD-ROM. To determine which version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer, start Internet Explorer, and then click About Internet Explorer on the Help menu. If "SP1" appears in the Update Versions line, this means that Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1 and Internet Tools are installed, and you have the latest version of Iepeers.dll file for Internet Explorer 5.5.
Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
In the Search for files or folders named box, type iepeers.dll.
In the Look In box, click Local Hard Drives, and then click Search Now.
In the Search Results list, right-click Iepeers.dll, and then click Rename.
Type iepeers.old, and then press ENTER.
Insert your Windows Me CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD-ROM to prevent it from starting automatically.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type msconfig, and then click OK.
In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Extract File.
In the Specify the system file you would like to restore box, type iepeers.dll, and then click Start.
In the Restore from box, click Browse, and then browse to the x:\win9x folder (where x is your CD-ROM drive), and then click OK.
In the Save file in box, click Browse, browse to your x\Windows\System folder (where x is the drive on which Windows Me is installed), and then click OK.
Click OK to extract the file.
Click OK in response to the The file has been successfully extracted message, and then click OK to close the System Configuration Utility dialog box.
Register the Iepeers.dll file:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 iepeers.dll, and then click OK.
Restart your computer.

Method 3
Specify different spool settings for the printer. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
Right-click the printer, and then click Properties.
On the Details tab, click Spool Settings.
Click Start print job so program finishes printing faster, click Start printing after last page is spooled, and then click OK.
Restart your computer.
Start Internet Explorer, and then attempt to print a Web page.
If this does not resolve the issue, repeat steps 1 through step 3, click Print directly to the printer, and then click OK.
Restart your computer

Missing "imagehlp.dll" error on installation

Uninstalling other makers software may remove a system file which prevents installation of Coolpix drivers from the Nikon View v5.1 CD on Windows 98SE systems. It has been reported that, when connecting a Coolpix camera to a Windows 98SE machine, the hardware wizard will not recognize the appropriate driver; this setup fails because the file "IMAGEHLP.DLL" is missing from the system. Installation will stop with an error message which mentions this file. This problem may be caused by the earlier removal of another makers software from the operating system. To solve the problem, first disconnect the camera then follow these instructions to copy the appropriate file from the Win98SE CD back to the correct directory on your computer: Place the Win98SE CDROM in the CD-ROM drive. From the Start Menu select Run, type in SFC.EXE. Select "Extract a single file". Type in IMAGEHLP.DLL to the field provided. Click start. When the next dialogue box appears click "skip". This dialog box appears: Where e:\WIN98\ should be the Win98SE CD-ROM (your CD-ROM drive may use another letter other than "e"). Copy the file to the same destination shown and a screen will appear showing that "File has been successfully extracted". Next, remove the Win98SE CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive and replace the Nikon View 5 CD in the CD-ROM drive. Reconnect the camera. The hardware wizard should automatically detect the camera and install the driver from the Nikon View 5 CD.
