Depending on the amount of the data or music files you have on your device, "Refreshing Database" may take a while to finish. But if you feel it's frozen you may try the following steps:
Reset the device
1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power/Menu button.
3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.
NOTE: Resetting will turn the player off while it is frozen.
Delete recently loaded files
1. Connect the device to the PC in MSC mode using
force MSC.
2. Locate and delete recently added files.
3. Disconnect the device from the PC.
If this resolves the issue, proceed to STEP 3. Otherwise,
format the device, update to the latest firmware, and reload the songs to the device.
