When I burn i cd with iTunes some songs won't play and others will. why?

What format are the songs in, ie- mp3 / wma etc. make sure the device you are trying to play your cd on recognises these formats. if unsure compare the format of the songs, to the songs that do and don't work, the ones that won't play are probably in a format not recognised by your player, this is common in older or cheaper players.

Hello sir, when i play audio mo3 songs in media player this erer comes where can i solve this problem thanks microsoft mpeg-1 50 codec download Many thanks Shak

This is a Codec problem.

If you have a song which has an .mp3 extension. Changed it to .mp2 and it will now play fine without searching for a Microsoft MPEG-1 (50) Codec.

Open the folder with the MP3 file in it that you want Windows Media Player to play.

Click on "Organize" then "Folder and Search Options". Choose the view tag.

Untick "Hide extensions for known file types". Click "OK".

Right click in blank area of the folder. Choose "Properties" then the "Customize" tab. Select "Documents" from the drop down menu. Click "OK".

You will now see files in the folder with their extensions. Change the extension of the file you want WMP to play from ".mp3" to ".mp2".

Double click the file. It will play in WMP.

Wmp 11 on vista

right click on your cd rom drive. Click on properties, then, autoplay>Select Music cd from dropdown menu. then select "take no action" for disabling WMP popup , if you have another cd player software, choose it to make that popup when you insert cd.

Sorry to say, That wonf fix your WMP but the problem. And sorry, there is not enough info to help you on WMP fixing.

Thanks

Problem syncing mp3's to mp3 player with Windows Media Player

This isn't necessarily a solution, but:
Within WMP, I believe under Help, Check for Updates. Won't hurt.

Depending on your media player ... you say generic, but there's surely a brand ... you may find it "mounted," like a CD or hard disk, within your My Computer section. On my dad's Sansa, for example, you can directly copy over music files, but videos have to be converted in a certain way. There's a default structure -- that is, there's a folder for podcasts, a folder for music, a folder for movies, whatever.

Without knowing the specifics of your device, it's tough to give a good answer. Try checking for updates, and if that doesn't do anything, then see if you can get at the drive deliberately and start copying over your files yourself.

Some videos play some doesnt ?

Use a different media player. If it if purely watching videos, I would go something like VLC player. It plays (at least with what I have seen) everything. It is also free, loads faster then WMP, and simple.

Mind you this will not play Real Player videos. You can get a addon to WMP called Real Alternative to do that though.
