It will depend on the type of CMOS battery you have but most of them are 3V watch type to remove these type, there are normally 2 small metal clips at the top end of the battery holder, you push these in and the battery is then released, or there if not use a small watchmakers flat head screwdriver down the side of the battery and gently lift it out, then just push the new one back in making sure you have the polarity correct
There is a problem with the on-board video or the graphics card. If you have a standalone graphics card in the computer take it out, clean the slot and the brass contacts on the card and re-seat it. Also reset the CMOS by removing the power cord and take out the motherboard battery for 20 minutes. Re-insert the battery and power cord and see of the computer will boot up with a display on-screen.
It appears that someone has placed an Administrator password on the machine. To reset the Administrator password, unplug the desktop, open the side cover, remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes. Then replace the battery, cover, plug the machine back in and reboot, hitting ALT+F10 at the same time to enter the recovery mode.
If you cannot access the machine after if has been powered up, it is still possible to get past the BIOS password. The BIOS password is stored in CMOS memory that is maintained while the PC is powered off by a small battery, which is attached to the motherboard. If you remove this battery, all CMOS information (including the BIOS password) will be lost. You will need to re-enter the correct CMOS setup information to use the machine. The machines owner or user will most likely be alarmed when it is discovered that the BIOS password has been deleted.
