Question about Gateway M-6834 Notebook
A) Bad battery
Easy to check, take it out and try to boot. If yes. Get a new battery.
B) Bad AC adapter
Does the power brick have an LED on it? Is it on. Even if it is it may not be putting out voltage. If the cord gets bent alot it can break inside so it looks normal. If you or some you know has a MultiMeter , have them check the voltage. If you know someone with the same laptop, try theirs. If it works get a new one.
C) Broken connector inside laptop
If a known working AC adapter doesnt work there could be a broken connector inside that needs to be resoldered or the power subsystem on the board could be fried.
