Main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
You might want to call Samsung with the model number as I remember seeing a notice for certain models that have this issue---a jumper plug needs in those sets to be removed that is located on the power board.
The z-sustain board is bad. One of the the heat sinks on the board is cool to the touch. These had LG circuit boards and the number on the sticker, on the board, was a good LG part number. The part numbers were 6871QZH044A.
Do a search on the internet with Google, Yahoo, or Ebay with this part number. The board unplugs and the new one plugs back up. Not an advanced technical repair. Unplug the set and take the back off and match the picture on Ebay with the one in your set. And especially match the part numer.

In most cases with flat screen TVs, the power supply for the screen has failed. Most commonly the Backlight Inverter Board or related power supply board. Best to have a Tv repair shop look at it and tell you which board when bad. Then, determine if it cost too much for the shop to replace the bad board for you.
If you want to replace the board yourself, you can find a replacement board on the internet by running a search by the part number on the board.
If the TV is still under warranty, definitely go that route.
