Nokia E90 Communicator - callers can hear me but I cannot hear

Nokia E90 Communicator- When receiving calls, callers can hear me, but I cannot hear them. However, if I initiate the call, both can hear alright!!! Anyone can tell me why this happens? My problem is slightly different:

I plug in a headset/mic device into the 2.5mm jack, but the E90 still shows the message that says "use phone mic" :(

How can I change that, so that I can use the headset's mic instead of the phone's mic to talk?

Greatly appreciated. Need this to use in a rally car.

Try to format your phone, and check if thhe problem persists.
FOR SOFT-RESET:

- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7780#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345

FOR HARD-RESET:

- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7370#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345

FOR FLASHING- TOTAL RESTORE: (Do this if your phone does not boot up)

1) Remove the battery, and then wait for about 20 min or so before putting it back

2) Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key, Star key[*], Three key [3]

3) switch ON the phone.

4) Do not let go the three keys until you see the WELCOME screen displayed and just let it complete the boot process.

check if this helps. if this doesnt help contact Nokia Care Point-> http://europe.nokia.com/A4388379

Speaker not working

Your explanation of the problem is not too clear.
If you receive a call and you cannot hear your caller but your caller can hear you, your speaker is bad and will need to be replaced buy phone technician.
If it is that you can hear your caller but they cannot hear you, then your mouth piece is bad and need to be replaced.
Because of the Miniature nature of the Cellphone circuit there is user serviceable part

I have a Nokia E5, only a few months old. When receiving calls, I am unable to hear the caller. They can hear me perfectly though. Please help

Did you drop your phone? It seems that your phone's caller speaker is damaged thats why you can't hear the caller. If this is the problem then the only solution is to replace the speaker. Hardware is not covered under warranty, but you should check with the warranty provider. Otherwise, take it to any mobile repair shop and ask them to change the speaker.

What ever i press it shuts down Nokia E90 communicator

my friend try the battery itself check the battery contacts (they have some shape that can be extended if you remove and insert it many times) so try to get them as close as possible.
one thing more place a piece of gasket on the edge of the battery to prevent battery movement

I have a Nokia e90, callers can't hear me but I can, why is that?

Try to unmute your mic or try connecting your headset and try speaking. If both failed then its a software issue

If headset worked then its an hardware issue

Not certain... but you need to check menu - tools - settings - general - enhancement and make sure your default is set to "headset".
When you plug headphones only (not the headset/mic combo) into the 2.5mm jack, it will go into a headphone mode where you can hear through the headphones but you must speak through the phone microphone - it sounds like it is going into that mode on you. It can only be the setting above or possible a short in the jack (though that doesn't really explain why it is happening only when you receive a call).
If you have 2.5mm headsets (or can pick up a small 3.5 to 2.5 adapter), you can also try having them call you and see if you can hear through the headphones - that would prove it is going into headphone only mode.
