Imaging units bad and no money

I have a bad imaging unit but no money or service agreement. Can I get the machine to be a black ink only machine?

C - 2651 Cyan imaging unit EEPROM acces error

My black ink is really faded. I installed a new cartridge but the black ink is still the same. The color ones work great, but most of my printing is with the black ink.


Sounds like toner build up on your developer blades in the imaging unit. If the black look like this:

The problem is with the developer in the imaging unit. The problem can be fixed by either replacing the imaging unit for $100+ or you can fix it yourself by cleaning the imaging unit. You will need simple hand tools and if you are careful restore the print quality of your printer. I have a Konica Minolta BizHub C252. In the bottom of my screen on the machine it has a triangle and once I tap it it brings me to another screen and it says: Machine status P 8 P 21 I have no idea what...


P-8 is for yellow imaging unit failure. P-21 is for Color Shift Test Pattern failure. The P-21 Color Shift Test pattern failure is probably being caused by the Yellow Imaging Unit Failure. Basically, I think your issue is with the yellow imaging unit. If you are experianced with these then you could try removing and re-installing the yellow imaging unit. You may have to replace it. I would certainly start there. Or if you have a service agreement then call them out for repair.

THE QUALITY OF PRINT FROM MY SAMSUNG CLP300 HAS BECOME POOR, WITH SOME BLACK INK FADED


If the print is faded down the length of the page, then the problem lies within the imaging unit. This is a very commn problem with this printer. The developer blades get blocked by a coating of toner, which after many prints, cause a noticable fade in the image. This can be fixed by replacing the imaging unit or the blades can be cleaned. I have detail instruction in my tips section. It can be done quite easily if you are handy, and you could save yourself some money by not buying a new imaging unit.

My samsung clx-3160 colour laser printer does not print very well.all prints are barely neglible and now most times no print or characters appear.I have installed new ink cartridges.Please advise.


If the problem is only with Black output you need to change the Black developer of the Imaging Unit, Else you need to refer to the Authorised Service center. Else you may change the complete imaging unit by yourself.

Grainy image quality on my Phaser 7750


Try something, Send a job with 5 pages to it.
Shut the machine off as a page it halfway out of the exit area.. Open the machine and look at the jammed copies. Are they clear in the imaging unit areas but not upon exiting the machine?
If the image is clear around the drums and imaging unit, then the problem would be in the fuser. If the image is grainy and fuzzy in the image area, You could have a bad second BTR roller, the soft black roller on the left side door. One of the developer housings could be bad. You have to remove the imaging units and look in the opening with a flashlight to see if the developer housing brush is thick on the developer roll.
Could have a bad transfer belt or one of the color housings could be bad.
Less likely is a bad laser. But have you taken the wand that is on the front cover and cleaned the laser exposure slots?

Replaced imaging unit but error message still appears calling for service


plug the machine for 20 sec ,and plug it back in than make sure the imaging unit is inserted in corect.if all fail,that mean s you have a bad or used imaging uint..

Your problem could be one of several things:

1) The Carrier (iron filings) inside the imaging unit is deteriorated and needs to be replaced.

2) The Toner sensor inside the imaging unit may be giving an incoorect reading, due to be faulty or because of old toner/carrier mix blockage close to sensor. Give the imaging unit a good service and replace the carrier.

3) The wires behind the black cover of the imaging unit have been picnhed and is shorting on the metal plate

4) The main PCB of the machine could be faulty
