Hello, my name is Chris. This might be because your printer driver is not Vista compatible. Try updating the driver by going to ( start, control panel, administrative options, computer management, device manager.) Look for your printer. It may be in a drop down box. Right click on it and select update driver.

ok...first thing...go to www.hp.com and download a fresh set of drivers for your printer, and then restart it and see if that helps. I have that happen to my G85 whenever the power gets awful(not saying that's your reason, but can be an issue)..

SOURCE: CONNECTED HP OFFICEJET G85 DIRECTLY TO LAPTOP, WON'T PRINT

Make sure this printer is selected as the default printer. Check printer preferences to make sure all settings are correct then try printing a test page using the windows software. Hope this helps.

How do i print edge to edge using the G85 Office Jet all in one?

The G85 does not support edge to edge printing, it requires a top margin of 0.08:, a bottom margin of 0.46" and side margins of 0.25".

Officejet G85 printer

If you previously were using a parallel connection for the G85 you will need a USB cable.

If your laptop is running Vista the G85 will work as a printer, I do not think there is a scanner driver for Vista for the G85. The G85 print driver is built into VIsta, you only need to turn on the printer and install the USB to have the printer automatically installed.
