Question about Fujitsu ScanSnap S500 Pass-Through Scanner
I just bought the unit used off ebay from a reputable seller. When I attempt to scan I get an error message
Error in optical system
failed to calibrate the scanner.
The optical system on the scanner is in error.
Contact he store where you purchased the scanner or an authorized service provider.
Any ideas on what the problem could be? Is it likely the hardware and I'll be orced to send it out for repair? Where do I find a service provider?
I would contact the seller for that information. Also check the ebay listing to see if the seller offers a DOA( Dead on Arrival) return. It would probably cost you more to repair it than to just buy a new one. The seller should be responsible for providing that information to you or to accept the return on the item.
