i fixed the problem, i removed the power cable and the battery from the laptop and tried to turn it on to drain any built up charge, put it back together and its working fine :)

Hello, my name is Chris. Easy solution. Buy a new key board. Thats all you can do in this situation. There not worth trying to fix. A key board will cost about 10.00.

I have this same problem on my vaio. I did not drop, just must have hit some Stengel key combination. It is a laptop. Just replacing the keyboard is not that easy, not that that cheap, and probably won't fix the problem anyway since it is probably a setting.

Locate and change cmos battery

Turn your computer off and unplug it. Next take the cover off exposing the keyboard. Then in the lower right corner (or somewhere near it) there will be a round silver looking battery. That is your cmos battery. There should be a spot where you can pop the battery out. Then put your new battery in and you are ready to go.
