Problem for Gateway GMAX 5100 Computer Speakers
Power surge blew circuit in subwoofer, can't find schematics Help
The power company overloaded the circuits in my neighbor hood and blew many appliances in many homes. My problem is some circuits in my subwoofer blew and I need the schematics to get it repaired. Diamond audio no longer exist and merged with an auto audio company for auto sound systems. Gateway does not handle schematics of products that is not of there own. I can not find the schematics to repair this wonderful system. If anyone can help me I would be willing to pay for there time and trouble if the information is what I need and correct. Please help me if you can. Thanks,

- Thanks for your reply, it is a self power unit. The computer is a Gateway 7200 XL and came with GMAX 5100 sound system made by Diamond. The problem is I took it to a electronic repair shop and has had it for a very long time. The hang up is there are internal parts which I know nothing about were damaged. He needs the schematics to repair it. If you need more info, please ask. Thanks, RoyClarification Request

Does the subwoofer come on at all (power light on)? Does the system have an external power adapter, or a built-in power supply with a regular line cord going in? What are the symptoms when you try using it? No sound, distorted sound?
