Hmm i changed battery my self today, and just booted it with that power off receipt feed system. I tryed to enter 21151 code after it, but it didnt work. Is that MAC code what you ment?

  • sabo104 Mar 04, 2009

Do you have any idea whats mac code in finland? Im trying to google it, but cant really find.

  • sabo104 Mar 04, 2009

We have year/month/day systemif it helps btw

  • sabo104 Mar 05, 2009

It gives e04 when i put MAC code and enter subtotal, same with every code and another push in subtotal will do "something". But when i try to set date to correct, it still says 09 error. Should it give that 04 error after first subtotal push? And yes i have clerk buttons.

  • sabo104 Mar 05, 2009

I checked the old receipts and last date was 21-08-04, so i guess its day/month/year afterall, even finnish usersguide says year/month/day.

  • sabo104 Mar 05, 2009

Im still getting error 09 when i try to program machine.

  • sabo104 Mar 05, 2009

Im getting FFFFFFFFFF, is it ok?

  • sabo104 Mar 05, 2009

The code just doesnt work after FFFFFFF. I keep getting that 04 error.

  • sabo104 Mar 05, 2009

Sorry im blind. This works. Thanks for all your help!

Hi. It means the password has not been entered. I suspect this machine has not been RAM cleared properly after the battery was changed. What MAC code did you enter when you changed the battery and initialised it?

Yes. You must RAM clear the machine. Do the initialise procedure using journal feed, then enter the code depending upon your country and setup needs using the init table.

In that case, you will have a non standard MAC code since your date system is so rare. The two standard MAC codes are 21000 for Clerks by push button, or 21001 for clerks by PIN number entry. However, that will give you our dating system which is DDMMYY, so try changing the first two digits until you get the date to work correctly. I think you will need a 0 first, so try 01000 or 02000 or 03000 or 04000 or 05000 for clerks by button. If you have no clerk buttons you will need to add a 1 on the end.

Great. Then our codes should work perfectly. Just choose the clerk type that you are using then try 21000 or 21001

E 04 means wrong MAC code. If you get the MAc code right, it will print out.

    This is the whole procedure:

    Turn key to Program mode.
    Turn power off at wall.
Hold JOURNAL FEED button down while turning power on at wall.
You should see "0000000000" or "LLLLLLLLLL" on display.
    Type 21000
    Press SUBTOTAL
    Wait for print.
Turn back to REG and make sure a clerk button is pressed down.

Try it again and see if this works.

You are still only doing a half clear. You must hold JOURNAL FEED, not RECEIPT FEED.

Hi Josie. E33 means you have not entered amount tendered.

turn key to REG
An amount should show on the display. Note this amount.
Type the amount shown on the display with no decimal e.g if display shows 12.30, type 1230.
Press CASH
Drawer should open.

If you cannot clear the error (try the clear button C) or no amount shows when you press SUBTOTAL, it probably means the memory has become corrupted due to a flat or faulty battery.

Which percentages? Which reading? You will need to be more specific. If it is part of the daily report, the user manual should be able to show you what they mean. If you need more information, the Casio CE-3700 manuals are here:

I have a casio CE3700 cash register. The machine locked up. I followed the normal procedures to resolve this, however when I turned the power back on from the socket the machine fails to turn on at all...

It sounds like there is a good reason for it locking up the first time then. Most commonly it is caused by a printer problem. Most Casio models will run the printer before they turn the display on, so if you can't hear the printer run at turn on, I'd start there. Look for paper jams. make sure the motor can turn freely. If the motor is okay, check the battery. You can experience weird problems if the battery has not been replaced on time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Casio ce-3700 error 04 on till please help

The machine is trying to complete an initialisation. It has probably not had its battery changed on time, or it may have been left off for too long. You need to check the internal rechargeable battery and replace if necessary. You can re-program it once the battery has been checked/ replaced.
C-tech has a CE-3700 manual here if you want to re-program it yourself:
If you need information on servicing it, the service (repair) manual is here:

I have casio ce-3700 cash register and i have problem E04 and noies come beep any one help me plz.

This is caused by incomplete initialisation. it means the program may be corrupt from being unplugged for too long, or you may have a bad battery inside the machine (change it every five years).
Firstly, try a flag clear to jump it back to REG mode:
Turn power off at wall Turn key to program position Hold down RECEIPT FEED button. Keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED Press SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. If the programming is corrupt, you will often see the decimal point in the wrong place.
If you want to re-program it, there is a manual for the CE-3700 here:

Casio ce-3700 e01

Hi. You have turned the key before you finished what you were doing in another mode. A flag clear will jump you back to reg mode. Try this:

Turn power off at wall.
Turn key to program mode.
Hold RECEIPT FEED button down.
Turn power on at wall and let go of RECEIPT FEED after 5 seconds.
You should see 'FFFFFFF' on display
Turn key back to reg mode and try it.

Casio CE-3700 lockup

It sounds like you have a flat, or faulty backup battery. The machine has probably lost all programming. This is common if the machine has been stored.

Try this:

Turn key to program.
Turn power off at wall.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see '000000000' or 'LLLLLLLLLL' type 21151 (for Europe), or type 12300 (for USA) then press SUBTOTAL

If you still have trouble, just let me know.

Casio CE-3700 cash register MAC instructions

Hi. I would advise both of you to try a flag clear first to see if you have any program left.

Turn key to program. Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED, and turn power on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG and try it.

If you still need help, let me know.
