PROBLEM WITH MY SCREEN

Hi. i have an LG FLATRON L1919S lcd monitorand whenever i try to do something (mostly when i try to play a game) the screen starts having some waves like radio signals or something........the problem is my screen or my grafic card? i don't think it's the graphic card because i play games that are much more realistic and it's ok. if there is any way to solve it please tell me.

try lowering the resolution of the game you are having problems with. Some older games will not play right on higher resolutions.

I cant see the red color on my lg LCD (flatron l1919s). instead there is like a blue light in the screen (all the pictures and faces are blue, and red events are black).

Failing internal components (but first before sending in for repair, check the computer graphics card is ok, as this, or the VGA cable to monitor may be suspect)
In effect what is happening is that the hardware that controls the spread of green and red pixels on the screen has failed (happens over time), this will need repair or more likely replacement

I have upto now been using my lg Flatron L1919S monitor as a tv with a separate tuner. Today i replaced it with an lcd tv and was going to use the monitor for my computer. However when i connected it up...

It means your PC video resolution is too high for the monitor to display, you need to set your PC video to the native resolution of this monitor, 1280 x 1024 @60Hz.
Start up in sfae mode (hit f8 while booting up), select VGA support, then right click on desk top/properties to bring up display property/setting. set the new resolution , reboot.

It means your PC video output resolution is too high for the LG monitor to display (your old monitor (CRT) can handle higher resolution than this LG LCD monitor), you need to set the PC video resolution to native resolutionof this monitor which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz. You may have to use the old monitor (CRT) to set the resolution to 1280 x 1024@60Hz, then hook up the LCD monitor.

This is more likely an issue with you video card than your monitor, do all the monitors you have tested operate at the same resolution and refresh rate? It sounds like the LG monitor is running at a higher resolution and refresh rate which is causing addition load to be placed on your video card causing it to crash

Single vertical red line

Hello Monastirion,

Is the red line there all of the time without exception, for instance when you initially turn on your pc, is it there before the operating system boots?

If so, the monitor itself is most likely broken. I would return it to wherever you bought it, if possible.

Regards,

-Chester
