How to use intercom

We have the RCA visys 25424RE1-A phines in our office, 4 phones to be exact, we are trying to set up the intercom so that we dont have to go out of our offices to tell someone that there is a call, how do we set it up thanks

Try hitting the speaker button and intercom your boss. When you hit the speaker button to hang up, do you get the same thing? If not. It could be that the gray "clicker" switch that pushes down when you put the handset back isnt going all the way back down...

The phone may have the same extension as another phone in the system. Unplug it from the power and take out the battery for a minute. Then plug it back in. It should take a moment to find other phones on the system and assign itself an extension number.

You may also have a line reversed on that phone. Check to see if line 1 is line 1 on all of the phones. Then line 2, 3 & 4.

Another thing to check is the DSL filter. That phone may need a filter on the line to keep your DSL from interferring. If it has one replace it.

Unplug phone that has crosstalk problem.Replace with a good phone.If trouble disappears then trouble is the replaced phone.If trouble is still there,then it is wiring problem.

How to increase volume


To change the ringer volume: while the phone is on the hook press the Vol + or Vol - button. The phone rings according to the current setting. Tap the Vol + or Vol - button to adjust the volume one setting at a time. The phone stores the setting after the last button press.

To change the speakerphone, handset, and headset volume: while the phone is in use in the desired mode, press the Vol + or Vol - button. The phone stores the setting after the last button press.

Keep getting message "incomplete data" when a call comes thru


You've probably enabled caller id CLI on your phone but don't have it enabled as a feature on your phone line.
