Nakamichi soundspace 10 hack - problem with picture

I applied the recommended hack to a Nakamichi Soundspace 10 DVD player, I am
in zone 1 trying to play a zone 2 DVD. The DVD plays both picture and sound.
BUT 10% of the bottom of the picture is showing at the top of the screen
with a flickering line below. Almost looks like an old-fashioned vertical
hold problem.

I have the Soundspace 10, but was sold to me with multi-region capability when I bought from the dealer.
