Question about Leisure HOMEPRIDE Electric Fireplace Heater w/ Remote

3 Answers

Heat n Glo electric fireplace w/remote just stop working.

It was working fine until recently I tried turning it on and it attempted to come on then it just stopped. It don't appear to be getting power. Is there a fuse behind the panel that may need to be replaced? Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Throw it out on the street when a bus runs over it file for insurance and get a new one. tell the insurance company you where having a city bonfire in your front yard and the bus jumped the curb. You know city slicker folk in those tall buildings don't know any better.

When we turn the remote on, neither the heat or light come on anymore. Has been working fine up to this point.

Have you changed the batteries in the hand-held transmitter? If not, that may be the problem. Be sure you use fresh batteries out of the package and not recycled ones. If changing the batteries does not solve the problem. Unplug the fireplace from the electrical receptacle and leave unplugged for 10-15 minutes. This will allow enough time for it to reset itself.

Hope this solves your problem.

Thanks Diana for the Question,
the info you are looking for , sorry to say, should be in the service area of the fireplace, yes it means back down on your knees, but if I were you I would have a friend, or someone a little younger take a look for ya, as far as the wall switch, it could be one of three things, either the switch has been disconnected, or there should be a switch near to were you have to manually lite the unit that needs turned in the opposite direction, or the wall switch has to much resistance to let the small amount of voltage necessary to operate the fireplace, Heat and Glo makes a good thermostatic remote, but I would call your local Heating and A/C company to get an estimate on cost for the remote and Install, you may want to call them and have the switch looked at, might be a lot cheaper, best of luck, hope that helped, let us know how I did for ya, thanks again,

My Heater stopped working on my HEF33 Electric fireplace. My fireplace is only 3 years old not sure what to do.

We have had this same problem with our heater. But I went online to find out where I could purchase replacement parts. The company that sold the fireplace went out of business. I also went on-line to try and fine a universal replacement part. So far no help to be found.
