I have a Zanussi DX6453 dishwasher. Water will

Hello,
Try tipping the dishwasher back to see if any water drains out from below if there is water present then the anti-flood device is energised and stopping water coming into the unit.If it works now after resetting then there is a leak under the machine that needs investigating. You can try going into the diagnostics to read the alarms. If you hold in the first and third button from the left on programmer, whilst holding in then press the on/off button then when the lights start racing release these 2 buttons. You should now be in the diagnostics, now press the first button once and count the flashes of the end of cycle LED.If this button is pressed 2 more times it will give the previous alarms.1 flash could indicate fault on inlet water and valve.2 flashes drain circuit blocked.3 flashes anti-flood device.8 flashes faulty circuit board.Make sure after reading alarms to switch off unit then on then off to reset. Then go back into the diagnostics as before to reset alarms but this time press button 2 from left all LEDS will flash after exit as before.

Hope this helps.

The program light goes off and the BF162 doesn't start...

When you keep the button pressed for a few seconds the lights go off, this resets the dishwasher. Then press the p button again to the program you want 1st light is heavy soil 2nd light is normal soil, 3rd light is eco wash, 4th light is rinse. At the end of the cycle the program light you have selected will flash.

My BF162 dishwasher won't start

it might be flooded in the tray underneath due to a blockage, try loosening the bottom panel (3 screws) and emptying it of water and re setting. Clean out all the traps etc in the dishwaser to make sure nothing is blocked

Water comes back

i assume you mean that water is coming into the machine when not in use.
a common cause of this is if the drain pipe is connected into a spigot on the sink trap. every time you empty water from the sink, some goes down the drain pipe and fills up the machine. the cure is to take the drain pipe up in a swan neck as high as you can under the sink

Dwf50 hotpoint aquarius dishwasher

hi, just found this forum after searching the web 4 a solution to my hotpoint DWF50 problem.
I came down this morning to a machine which base tray was full of water and lights 3 ECO & 4 Fast flashing.
Anyway my solution was as i had seen a hotpoint engineer do once before was to press the start/reset button trip the catch, to fool the machine into thinking the door is closed then put in a program, press start, the machine hums slightly but doesnt do anything then after removing the large filter from the tray at the bottom underneath the lower basket insert a length of wire, with a loop on the end (Tip i used a wire coat hanger from the dry cleaners) poke in ythe hole that the dirty water drains from, after a bit of poking about the pump started working and the water drained away. Tip place a hook at the other end of your wire impliment to put your finger in to stop the wire getting caught in the pump mechanisim. After wards u have to hook back the door catch to the normal position, Tip another piece of the coat hanger with a right angled piece at the end will do this. This worked for me, saved me some money esp as D & G insurance ran out 2 weeks ago.....stu

Hotpoint fdw60 eco error code

I had this problem too, but discovered the cause and the remedy.

The flashing eco light signifies that the drain sump has water in it. Before the machine takes on water it checks a float located in the sump. If the float says that there is water in the sump then the machine presumes that there has been a problem when draining and decides not to take on any more water.

In my particular case, the sump collected extra water after the machine has last drained itself because the bottom spray arm has come off and allowed some water to enter the machine. Make sure that you check that!

The simple solution is to empty the sump of water. Do this by tipping the machine onto its right side. Warning! You will get wet feet! There was about a 1/4 pint of water in my dishwasher.

After that you should find that your dishwasher works perfectly again! Why Hotpoint couldn't include this simple task in their manual I'll never know! Health & Safety I guess...

HTH!

BF162 DISHWASHER HOTPOINT

I think if you push the heated wash and heated dry button several times until all the buttoms light up this will fix your problem.

A clean light that flashed repeatedly 7 times then off. Reset as above with the heated wash and heated dry buttons. You may then noticed a reduced flow from the pump so dissasemble the lower arm and water inlet assy. You may find it mostly plugged with foregin matter and some othe junk. Upon removal of that stuff and reassembly,It may work as new!
