How to copy a theme from NOKIA to Computer?

Nokia cellphones come with a number of default cellphone themes. Theme is basically your cellphone's graphical interface, consisting of wallpapers, icons, background images and more. In addition to the default themes, you can also download personalized ones from the internet, or buy from your carrier. Once they are on your phone, they are transferable to other devices, including your computer.
  1. Connect your Nokia phone to your PC using its USB data cable
  2. Go to "Menu" > "Settings and Connectivity" > "Mass Storage" on the phone.
  3. Go to "Start" > "My Computer"/"Computer" on your PC.
  4. Navigate to your cellphone's folder under "Devices with Removable Storage."
  5. Open the "Themes" sub folder. Inside the folder, you will find all the themes on the phone's memory.
  6. Select the themes you want to copy on the computer. For multiple selections, click each theme's icon while holding the control key (Ctrl).
  7. Press "Ctrl" + "C" to copy the selected items.
  8. Open any other folder of your computer where you want to paste the copied themes. Upon opening the folder, press "Ctrl" + "V." All the selected items will then be copied to the respective folder.

Access Hidden Themes in Windows 7

Windows 7 offers a good assortment of themes to customize the feel as well as the look of your computer. Windows 7 features particular themes which are based on the location and the language you select while you install the Windows 7. You can look for the location-specific theme in the Personalize menu. You just have to right-click at any place upon your computer desktop. You will be able to get the couple of themes according to your location.

Other than the location specific themes which you get by default, you can access hidden themes in Windows 7 which are offered to other regions. So the default themes which you get according to your region are not the only themes you can use. It is possible to access hidden themes in Windows 7 very easily in your system. This is what you have to do:

  • Click Start.

  • In the search box of the Start menu, type C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT.

  • Your Windows Explorer will show you a window with additional themes. These will be from Great Britain, South Africa, Australia and Canada.

  • You have the option to select the wallpaper only or you can install the whole theme if you want.

  • You will be able to install the entire brand-new theme by double clicking on the required file.

  • The new theme you add will show under “My Themes” within the “Personalization” pane.

You can also download many themes for Windows 7 from different website including the Microsoft official website. But you should first try to customize and access hidden themes in Windows 7 as you might not feel the need to download additional themes from elsewhere after that.

Cannot dowload themes

What operating system are you using? If you are using windows 7 (which I personally would recommend ), you can easily get themes here:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/personalize/themes
If you are using windows xp, there is very minimal built in theme changing capability. I would install Stylexp, a free program which helps you install themes:http://download.cnet.com/Style-XP/3000-2326_4-10072705.htmlAnd then once you have that installed, refer to this website for a great list of themes:http://www.winification.com/logons/Download/Desktop-Themes/Style-XP-Themes-Visual-Styles/
You may have to use other methods if you run an older version or different brand of windows.
Other possible problems:Can you download things other than themes? If you cannot download anything at all, you may have an issue with internet connectivity or firewall configuration.

Changing themes on Windows XP.

So, here we have a simple guide on how to change your normal windows look and how to install a custom theme which you will find many online.

First to install a new theme you first have to obtain one, here are a few

Now, this may look different on your pc, it depends if you have installed a program to extract zip files. If you are familiar with zip files etc just extract the files and run the setup to install the theme.

Inside the zip file you will find the following

Double click on the setup file to install the theme.

you may get a pop-up asking for you to extract all, run or cancel, click on run if you do. if asked again, click run again.

Basically install the theme just by clicking next next next and finally finish.

Once you have installed the theme, right click on your desktop background and select properties.

On the properties / theme page, click open the list of themes and select Royale from the list, then apply and OK.

Use hidden international wallpapers and themes in windoes 7

When you first install Windows 7, it asks for your language, time and currency. Based on your responses, it installs a set of wallpapers and themes. If you choose English (United States) for your time and currency format, for example, the available desktop backgrounds and themes will include a United States section with scenery from locations such as Maine, the Southwest and so on.
Hidden, though, are background scenery and themes from other English-speaking countries -- Australia, Canada, Great Britain and South Africa. Normally, you can't access those backgrounds or themes, but there is a simple way you can install and use them:

1. In the search box in the Start menu, type C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT and press Enter. (Note: If Windows 7 is installed in a drive other than C:, use that letter instead.)

2. Windows Explorer will launch and show you a list of subfolders under C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT: MCT-AU, MCT-CA, MCT-GB, MCT-US, and MCT-ZA. Each subfolder has wallpapers for a specific country: AU for Australia, CA for Canada, GB for Great Britain, US for the United States, and ZA for South Africa.
For any of the countries whose wallpaper and themes you want to use, go into its Theme folder, for example, C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT\MCT-ZA\Theme. Double-click the theme you see there (for example ZA).

3. That will install a shortcut to the theme and wallpapers in the Personalization section of Control Panel.
You can now use them as you would any other theme or background, by right-clicking the desktop, choosing Personalize, and choosing a background or theme. They will be listed in their own section.
