My LG ice maker fan is making a really loud noise right after the water stops going in

Hello, Self-defrosting refrigerators use a circulating fan to move air through the freezer and refrigerator compartment. This fan runs when ever the unit is cooling. The fan is located in the freezer, as follows:
  • If the freezer is on top, the fan is on the back wall, near the top or bottom, in the center of the freezer.
  • If the freezer is on the bottom, the fan is on the back wall, near the top of the freezer.
  • If the freezer is on the left, the fan is on the back wall, half way up or near the top.
Overtime the fan may become noisy, usually making a chirping or squealing sound, though it may make a loud groaning noise instead.
To find out if the fan is causing the noise, just open the freezer door and push in any fan/light switches, if the noise is louder when the door is open, the evaporator fan motor is the cause. You can lubricate or repair this motor. You must replace it.
There are three components on the outside back of the refrigerator that may become noisy: the compressor, the condenser fan motor(if self-defrosting), or the defrost timer (if self-defrosting).
Thanks

Chefmate cooler has a very noisy fan.

Good day,
If the noise is a current problem, and did not exist from new, then the motor bearings are bad, and the motor needs replaced regardless of age.
Note: LG chose not to allow appliance parts houses to carry their parts. Sad, however, you may be able to remove it and go to an appliance parts house and get a decent match. In fact, it may be a better motor.

Failing that, contact your selling dealer to purchase the new motor.

Candy oven noisy fan

Noisy fan means bushes are worn. cant be repaired. needs replacement. Quote model of oven to spare parts supplier and replace. Make sure power is unplugged and not just switched off before repairs are done.

Firstly we need to know what model etc. Noisy fan if viscus could be the viscus itself - fan blade hitting something on the shroud / housing. First check & make sure the small bolts haven't shaken lose. Good luck

Sony vaio vgn-s460p cooling fan makes noise

These guys have the fan for your model laptop. As for replacement they are usually not extreamly difficult if you are slow and take your time. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself a repair shop would more then likely do it for you at minimal cost if you provide the part.

Very noisy operation

Yes....this will throw than fan unit out of balance almost the same way the tires on your car get out of balance. The wobble effect at high speed makes tons of noise.
