My kenwood fp691 series food processor suddenly does not work anymore. There were no indications of trouble when i last used it. As usual after use, i cleaned and kept it back. When i tried putting it on after all the correct lock settings, it does not turn on. What could be wrong?

That kenwood is a UK model so if your in the US it's tough to source. The ring you need should have an outside diameter of 76 mm and an inside diamete of 56 mm.
This is a us amazon link with something that might work but not exact. There is a uk amazon equivalent if that works better for you. Amazon com kenwood blender seal
Power in the USA is 115 VAC not 240 VAC. The motor probably blew out the thermal fuse . This fuse looks like a small silver colored cylinder connected to the power cord inside the base of the processor.
Check with eBay, or Amazon, or try looking it up on the internet, and purchase one from Kenwood merchandise sales. Your box should have the information to request a manual, or a phone number to call to get one shipped.
You should be able to get one from Kenwood at http://www.kenwoodworld.com/en-za/customer-support - you will need the model number. Or go to http://www.manualslib.com/brand/kenwood/ where they seem to have them for KMC500 models (scroll down to food processors). Good luck!
