Uniden DSS7855+1, flashing ''welcome! please wait...'', wont work
Hi experts- we have the Uniden DSS7855+1 5.8 gig cordless base station with two handsets. After a power failure last night the base station flashes the ''Welcome! please wait'' message and provides no other service or connection. The handsets consequently do not work also. I have read other responses to those that this has happened to- power failure followed by welcome message flashing and no service- and no one has an answer apart from Uniden telling them to BUY another base station. This seems dodgy/shonky to me. We have had plenty of power failures before, but not this problem. There are no reset buttons and, apart from disconnecting power and telephone lines, only the various input keys that don't work. I would hate to think that Uniden would charge for another base station when there could be a reset code that could be typed in on the keypad or something similar. Grateful for any assistance.
This is not a direct solution to your problem, but a workaround for a similar situation. I have two headsets and two charging stations. One of the headsets was stuck with the message ''Welcome! please wait''. When I put the phone on the charging station it usually sits on nothing would happen, but when I put it on the other station the phone came back to life. The non-working charging station will still charge the phone so it is worth keeping.

Your new phones will not interact with a base station from another brand of phones. If you want to use one base station, you can buy single phones of the same model and brand and those will interact with the original base station.
Your new phones will not connect to the old base station
Check that you have power (eg. Led indicator is on) to your Base station.
If you have power to the base station and you still do not have a dial tone, plug in a non-cordless handset to the phone socket and see if you have a dial tone on yor non-cordless handset, then you have a faulty base station.

the charger and then plug the power supply unit into the wall socket. Now insert the two batteries supplied To register your handset to a base
station, place it in the main base station with the display facing upward.
After approx. one minute, the handset's internal number is Displayed (e.g. 2).
Successful registration is signaled by a confirmation tone. Replace the newly
registered handset into the charger and leave to charge for Approximately 16
hours. The charging status icon flashes on the handset to indicate that the
batteries are being charged. To register it manually: Press the MENU options button. Press the DOWN button until the display shows REGISTER HS. Press the OK button. Display shows PIN. Enter your 4-digit Pin (original
setting 0000). Press the OK button. Display flashes REGISTER HS. Following the user guide for the
base station you are registering to place the base into registration mode. Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further

I have 2 handsets here and just had replaced in 1 of the handsets.
Here's the trick, make sure the correct handset is in the correct base. The way this is done is when one of the handsets are in their bases, they will show either HS1 or HS2 in the upper right hand part of the display.
When they are in the correct base, then go push the Find HS button on the main base and you will hear the page feature paging the other base.
When the 2nd handset starts beeping just push the Find HS button again and other handset should work.
After that it don't matter which handset is in which base.
