How to stop norton from preventing me to attach images on yahoomail

Yahoo Mail is a Web-based email program that is provided for free by Yahoo. Anyone can sign up for the service to send and receive emails from friends and family. Yahoo places restrictions on the and type of attachments that can be sent and received when using Yahoo Mail. Any email attachment that contains a virus, is too large or doesn't meet the file type requirements may be blocked by Yahoo.

Virus Scanner b> Yahoo Mail scans each attachment that arrives or departs from your inbox with Norton AntiVirus. If the virus scanning software detects a virus within an attachment, Yahoo will warn you and attempt to clean it. Yahoo does not promise that every virus will be detected or cleaned by the Norton AntiVirus software. Only accept attachments from people you know and trust. Don't attempt to open blocked attachments if it is known to harbor a virus. Large Attachments b> Attachments exceeding 25 megabytes will not attach to an email. Multiple attachments that exceed 25 megabytes will also be blocked by Yahoo Mail. Once your attachments reach 25 megabytes, you will no longer be able to add any additional attachments. If you have many attachments to send that exceed 25 megabytes, send several emails to send all of the attachments. If you are receiving attachments, let the sender know that you are unable to receive any attachments larger than 25 megabytes. Slow Connection Speed b> It may appear that Yahoo is blocking your attachments if you have a slow dial-up connection because they may never appear to load. Yahoo isn't actually blocking the attachment, the connection is just very slow. A 25 megabyte file could take over an hour to download with a 56K dial-up connection. Your computer may go to sleep or the download may be even slower if you surf the Web while your files upload. File Type b> Only certain file types can be sent using Yahoo Mail. Yahoo Mail allows you to add audio files, images, HTML files, word processing documents, spreadsheets and many other types of files as attachments. Some documents are not supported, but you can send unsupported file types by renaming them, including them in a RAR or ZIP archive, creating a Word document with the file, sending the file through Yahoo Messenger or you can upload the file elsewhere and send a link to the file via email.

I CANNOT OPEN MY YAHOO EMAIL

Yahoo Mail is a popular webmail service that allows people to create their own email username and have it hosted by the Yahoo network. In addition to providing fast and reliable email, Yahoo Mail also allows you to send and receive large attachments. If you use Yahoo Mail, and are having issues opening attachments, there are several easy troubleshooting steps you can try to get your Yahoo Mail attachments.

Sign out of Yahoo and clear your cache. Since Yahoo! needs to access your cache to keep you logged in and to communicate with your computer when downloading attachments, a full cache can prevent Yahoo Mail from opening attachments correctly. Go to your browser's "Tools" or "Internet Options" menu and then select the "Delete Temporary Internet files" command to delete your cache. Reload the page. lf you have had Yahoo Mail open for a long time, the page may have gone idle, and you may not be able to access your attachment. Press the "Reload" (F5) button and then log back in to your account. Ensure that the attachment is not corrupt. If the sender did not finish uploading before they hit "Send" or there was an error during the upload, the file may be corrupted. Ask the sender to re-attach the file and send it again. Check the file format. Some formats are proprietary and will not open unless specific programs are installed on your computer. For instance, if you are sent an AAC file, you will not be able to open it unless iTunes is installed on your computer. Hope this helps.

How can I attach a file to e mail in juno web mail

If you are Juno member, you can attach pictures, spreadsheets, word processing documents, audio clips, video clips, or any other type of computer file to the email messages you send.
If you have never sent a file attachment before, you may want to review Juno's list of important facts about attachements before you send out your message.
You can attach files by Dragging and dropping them onto the write screen by copying and pasting them or by clicking attach files.

I can not receive e-mails with attachments

It might be happening if there are some limitations/restrictions imposed as a part of the standard policies/procedures. for e.g.

Maximum message size of an email including all attachments is 20 megabytes. Incoming messages larger than that limit will be rejected, and error message returned to the sender.

Note that other email providers may have a lower attachment size limit, so attachments smaller than 20MB sent may still be rejected by the remote destination. Additionally, downloading large attachments will take a long time for recipients on slower internet connections.

We are using Microsoft Exchange as the email system. Preferred personal accounts are hotmail, gmail, yahoo....Gmail gives max attachment size approx. 10MB so is quite useful to transfer some bulky files....thks....do let me know if you have more queries....hv a nice day!!!

Warm Regards

My computer defaults to outlook express 6 when I try to respond to any posting on craigslist or respond to other postings, and outlook dose not work. I can type a message but when I try to sentd it , it...

Check the font being called by OE6. You can do this by opening Outlook Express. Click on Tools => Options => Compose. Make sure the font and size are something your computer uses. Personally, I use ARIAL at 11 point. You might also check to make sure a stationery design isn't set for OE6. That setting is under the same tab as the fonts.

I hope this helps! Please post rating, if it does.

OE6 cant delete

Could be some corruption in your mail profile. Close OE. Double click on the MAIL icon in control panel. Remove the profile. You won't lose any data. Now when you go back into OE, it will ask you to create a new profile. No biggie just next next finish.

Send attachments to some mail recipients but not others

I think not.

First send email to everyone with everything everyone needs to know, then another to the ones who need files. OR emails to people who dont need attachments and spesific emails to those who need attachments.
