When I select print it ends up with sending datf.

Nothing more happens.

You need to reinstall the printer software.

Please tell me the printer make and model.

    Try first restarting your Mac or PC, after unpluggign power cable for two minutes.
    On Mac and notebook also remove battery for two minutes.

    If that does not work , then test a replacement USB cable.

    If still no luck, then you need to reinstall printer software.

    If you have the original printer disk, then reinstall printer software from disk.

    If you do not have the disk, then download the software from printer manufacturer website, and install the software after download is complete.

Will not print


try to restart your computer. before u print something, make sure u select the right printer (maybe there's copy 1, copy 2, and so on), check the usb cable, and don't turn on your printer before the laptop/pc ready because your computer will not able to detect the printer if you turn the printer first.

Will not print from lab top? I have a usb cord contected to both.. I hit print and nothing happens.


Have you installed the drivers for the laptop so it recognizes the printer?? If not you are going to have to get them from brother's website or the cd that came with the printer if you still have it.
Are you sure it is sending it to that printer? I know that is the only printer hooked up to the laptop, but it is still possible to send it to the queue of another printer. Make sure when you go to print the brother is listed, and thats the one that is selected.

It just won't work. The light is green but I send a document to the printer and nothing happens. When I turn it on the light is red but if I put the "job cancel" button it will got to green.


Go to "Printers and Faxes" in the "Control Panel" and check to see if your printer shows any documents waiting to be printed, Cancel these documents and Right click your printer icon
select "Properties" and select "Print Test Page" to test your connection...For varies reasons documents sometimes fail to print and the printer queue backs up

try downloading the latest print driver from www.kyocera.com or www.mita.com you may have a corrupt driver or it may be incompatable with an update

Copier wont print color picture from computer


Please call 1.800.421.6699 and select option 01 for prints missing black or color ink. Kodak will send you a replacement printhead kit for free. I hope this helps.

double check that USB is fully seated on both ends.
OR
make sure that (if IR remote) have the same settings and address'.

i have read the manual end to end and I don't think you can.
Only thing I see is this.

Customizing your settings using the Lexmark Fax Solutions You can adjust the fax settings in the Lexmark Fax Solutions. These settings apply to the faxes you send or receive.
  1. Click Start onestep.gif Programs onestep.gif Lexmark 7100 Series onestep.gif Lexmark Fax Solutions.

  3. Click each tab and change the settings as desired.
  4. Press Save Settings after you finish your updates. Nothing is saved until you press this button.
  5. Click Close.

  • Enter your name, company name, phone number and address as you want them to appear your cover page.
  • Select a cover page for your fax.

Select when to print an activity report is the only close item I can find. Nothing whatsoever about a confirmation report.

Hello  btfsplk,

 

Me is Vikram Kumar Thumu from India-Hyderabad. I have seen your message and issue on this issue. I would like to provide my suggestions on this issue.

 

Generally, this issue could happen if the Port selected that is Printer Properties  is not same as the Port connected to the Computer or Notebook, if this is the case the Printer starts Printing Blank pages from Computer . The issue could also happen if the Printer software is corrupted.

 

To resolve the issue I recommend you to check and try out below options:

 

1. try to restart the Print Spooler.

2. Make sure that you selected the correct port in the Ports tab of the Printer Properties.

 

Example: If your Printer uses USB cable to connect the Computer, then make sure that it is USB001 or USB002 is selected in the Ports tab of Printer properties.

 

Note:  Make sure that Printer is connected to the USB ports of Computer at Rear End and not in front end. Since, front end USB ports in Desktop Computer are meant for USB flash Drive or other USB devices and not for connecting Printers.

 

 

Well, I need much more information of your computer so that I can help you further steps of troubleshooting.

 

So please let me know below information:

 

1. Version of Operating System that you are using on your Computer.

 

2. Please let me know the Printer Model number and Serial number along with Manufacturer.

 

3. Did you receive any other error messages on this issue?

 

4. Please let me know cable type ( USB/Parallel) that you are using to connect Printer to the Computer.
