Hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? if that happens well because: When all of your computer's real physical memory (RAM) is in use, Windows will try to create virtual memory by grabbing a chunk of hard drive space and treating it like real memory. Your software can't tell the difference between real and virtual memory, but you might because virtual memory access is much slower, due to the hard drive activity it requires.
If you encounter the low virtual memory error message, then you have used the maximum amount of real plus virtual memory that is supported on your system. Sometimes programs that crash or ones that are poorly designed will not return their working memory space to the operating system when they're done using it. Other programs that need a large amount of memory to run may fail because Windows cannot "see" the available memory. In most cases, a shutdown and restart will resolve this problem. hope i helped you good luck

Hi. I have windows XP 2007. Each day, when I first log on, a message says: "Virtual memory too low. Windows is increasing memory on your paging files." This takes an hour. If I reboot during the same day,...

Google "virtual memory too low solution." Trusted sources are PC Magazine, Microsoft...

(In my case, I ran "msconfig", go to "Start up" tab and uncheck programs I did not want Windows to load at boot. That would free up memory.).

Memory to low on c drive message pops up even after I transferred most of my files to d drive

Are you referring to the virtual memory or just disk space? Assuming you are on Windows, even after transferring files, the space might not be enough. You can change the pagefile size (virtual memory) or just transfer enough files and even move your temp directory to D. That way the partition/drive with OS will have enough space. Now a days keep at least one gig free there. It usually starts complaining when it gets close to 500 MB.

Virtual memory

Your hard drive is getting to full for it to be used as virtual memory
When normal memory gets used up windows uses the hard drive as memory ans if insufficient room on hard drive is not available you get this message.
Solution.
1) delete programs from hard drive to create more space
2) Install new hard drive and transfer programs to it. creating more room on C drive
3) If hard drive is already partitioned and 2nd partition has a lot of free space transfer Virtual over to it.

Go to Start / Control panel Open The System folder go to "Advanced" "performance settings"
Then to "Advanced " Click on change and set Virtual memory to new disk.
Set maximum and minimum the same at 3 times the amount of normal memory you ave

Windows Virtual Memory Minimum is Low

fairly normal occurrence but you should have a look at your performance settings
go to control panel
double click system icon
click the advanced tab at the top
by performance click settings
in pop up window click advanced tab
at the bottom you'll see virtual memory
click change
most common option now is to set the radio button to system managed size
you should then ok each window.....

I need to increase virtual memory

I don't wish to sound rude but if you don't know how to do this, you prolly should just let windows continue managing it. A few wrong keystrokes can have major repurcussions

I have windows xp service pack 2 I keep getting the error message the my virtual memory is low. How do I fix it.

Go into control panel, system, advanced. Under system performance, click settings. Click on advanced and under virtual memory click on change. Make the initial size 1024 and the max size 2048. Click okay on everything to get out of there. Reboot your computer and you're done.
