Question about iRiver E100 Digital Media Player

Which is the best mp3 player

I want to buy mp3 player
which one is the best among flash, harddisk or extendable mp3 players?

Suggest me with the best ipod which should not expire its firmware license after 1 or 2 years. which should work for more than 5 years.

i heard that mp3 player stops working after expiry of its firmware license.
suppose if i buy extendable mp3 if flash memory stops working then is it possible that mp3 works on extendable memory(external memory card)

I for got my code to unlock my ipod now i can't get in it at all.

Hi, since you cannot remember the code, i suggest you get a technician to help flash or unlock it.

This will help put your mp3 player back to factory reset.

I wish you best of luck.

Tip

Hello! my problem goes like trhis. i accidentally formatted the usb flash drive...

One of the typical problems people run into with MP3 players is that they lose the software that came with the player and can't figure out how to get music on or off the player. So here's a quick how to. This will work with most brands of MP3 players, or even USB flash drives.

First you need to plug it in to the USB port, if you are running anything newer than windows 98 you won't need a driver. Double click on my computer and it shows up as a removable disc(usually drive letter f:), double click this drive to open it as folder. This folder will show you all directory's and files on your player, here you can delete any songs on your player by finding the file and deleteing it. From here you can also put your music onto the player by copying and pasting your music files from your hard drive. If you are not sure where your music is located you can run a search by clicking START>SEARCH>FOR FILES OR FOLDERS (if you are running XP click pictures music or video, check music then click search, each file will have it's location in small print below it's name, or you can right click each song and hit copy, then go back to f: drive and right click and hit paste, you can copy more than one). Hope this helps.

I am thinking about buying an internet media tablet for my husband but I am clueless. How do you get the internet on these devices how do you pay for it?

I suggest you get an iPod touch. This is a computer in your pocket, connects to the internet, does emails, plays games and is also an iPod music player, movie player and can show off your best pictures.

I've got a 2gb Goodmans GMP32G5 MP3 player with a good few albums on there, it works fine other than I cannot get anything on or off it!?

when buying it, you should have purchased a usb cable with it, see if u can connect it to your wondows computer,
if you hae got win2000 and later installed, it should recognize it likr a thumb-drive/external harddisk, you'll be able to copy the mp3's
from your harddisk to it then.
If you have win98 installed and use an older machine that supports only the usb 1.1 standard, do install the win98 drivers from the (mini?)CD you got when you bought it.
If you cannot find it,then come again -there's no support for this on the manufacturers homepage!

Erasing music from mp3 player

get pc with usb 2.0 port, and at least win 2000 professional on it
get mp3 player
get install cd for mp3 player (if you have one)

boot up, plug in player, wait for recognition by win2K or above, then treat as if it was an usb-stick or
external harddisk: erase the files you want or format it all to have it blank, copy new files

if not, run hardware detection via device manager, if windows does detect unknown device,
let it find driver from the hardddisk or win setup-cd/dvd, install, try to find as harddisk

or run install from mp3-related cd, choose the right driver fitting your operation system, install
remove mp3-player, reboot, repug, win should now find it automatically!

now erase the music files(mp3's) on your player and/or copy new ones, unplug,

put in fresh battery and enjoy!

There is a cord call UMS but you shoudn't have to use such a cord, you'll in up purchasing the bracket which isn't cheap.Bazooka UMS8A bracket and 10A bracket.Call Crutchfield or The Nerds or go online with these two stores they'll head you in the correct direction but I'm sure the player has made a mistake.Always send in your warranty when purchasing devices and get the extended warranty if possible.SEND IT BACK for a NEW MP3 PLAYER,they aren't cheap to purchase.
