Hi Bill , you can try partstselect.

I can be more specific if you tell me your location and the model number of your appliance.

Why do I get E 21 message on my Electrolux slide in range Model EW301S6CjSc which has frozen the stove top

Thank you for your post, Sandra Gee!

Based off the information you have provided an "E21" error code is displaying on your Electrolux range. Typically, an "E21" stands for a communication failure between the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) and the ESEC (Electronic Surface Element Control). I would suggest performing a reset on your range and you can do that by disconnecting the power from it for ten minutes. The best way to disconnect power is to flip the household circuit breaker. If you continue to have an issue with an "E21" error code I would have a professional technician perform a diagnosis on your range to help repair it properly. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

My older model electric hotpoint selfcleaing range, lower oven self cleaning function is not working. what could be wrong, maybe i didn't set a control knob correctly, don't have a maual for t

Back to the fifties! If the lower oven cooks normally, the heating element probably is OK. For self cleaning the normal temperature setting is bypassed and the heating element is set to a substantially higher level. Your oven may be unable to self clean because operation of the knob may not actually start the cycle. The thermostat could need replacing even though normal cooking is OK.

KESA907pssoo, put in clean mode all went black. no power, door is locked can't get front panel off as held in place by thin vent duct. Solutions?

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

It sounds like the hi-limit safety thermostat may be tripped, that is the component that typically trips/activates during a self clean on many ranges. You shouldn't need to open the front control panel, but access is through the back.

You'll need to slide the range/oven outfrom the cabinet. If you slide the unit away from the wall and unplug it you can replace the hi-limit. It will be a non-reset type hi-limit (based on the model number you posted) so needs to be replaced as I mentioned, doing so will get you back up and cooking in no time.

**Unplug the range from the wall first of course...safety first**

Once you remove the panel you will need to look for a switch/thermostat which looks like this...

The replacement according to the model number posted is 9759242 and available at "searspartsdirect.com" or "repairclinic.com" to name a couple.

Let me know how you make out. Good luck. I'll watch for your reply and if you need anything further I'll be glad to help in any manner I can.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

My oven will not stay at desired temp. It gets much hotter than the desired cooking temp. could this be a thermostat problem?

The thermostat is designed to regulate the desired temperature. If it is getting far too hot then the thermostat requires replacement.

Everything quit at once.

This is a very strange one, and you don't say how old this unit is or how long you have had problems with it, but most likely you have a poor electrical connection. (Assuming your 50 Amp breaker for your range did not trip and you have power to everything else in your home) Turn the breaker off and unplug the range. Remove the cover over the receptacle you just pulled the plug from and check all the electrical connections. If all OK, check the electrical connections where the cord attaches to the range. If still OK, inspect additional range and household wiring to range, including the connections right on the circuit breaker

EO F2 code

F2 E0 code is attributed to a short keypad with the Electronic Range Control (ERC). The recommended solution is to replace the ERC. If you can post back with comments I can locate a part number for you if you can give me the complete model number of your range (located along the opening around the oven door or lower drawer assembly). The model number includes a three-digit prefix. I would also need this to determine the manufacturer. This way I can research to find a part number and price and see if this is a repair you would wish to pursue. ERCs can be expensive on some models. I hope this helps you.
