You have to re install soundriver provided u in a cd
or u not able to get it just go on www.freedrivers.com
or search on google and re install the drivers
and also go sound setting and make sure all sounds should be on speaker setting should be external speaker

I assume the monitor has speakers built in . Have you plugged the sound card in to the monitor?

As far as I know the Acer x193w monitor does not have speakers. In order for you to have sound you must attach speakers to the sound card at the rear of the computer. Usually indicated by a light green colored port.

Old request but . . . .
If you have the monitor connected and turned on, reboot the PC. It's possible that Windows will see both the monitor and sound capabilities and reinstall drivers for both.
