I have the same problem with vista and xp. I also added a simple canon 1500 that I had kicking around and everything for both printers shows up looking just fine. The network sees the 1260 but when I go to print it just acts like it sent the job into never never land. The print q shows the job and then it goes away or in the case of the canon it says it is not responding. I am ready to take this animal back and try another brand.

Those are basic install instructions and have been used all the time. I even installed the server using the tcp/ip method and everything shows up fine and even the properties dialogue shows up but when trying to print to either printer nothing happens. It as if the print goes into thin air. I gave up an returned the wireless print server and put the printers back on the pcs we had them on and all is well. I have read where others have had the same problems....guess it is not a perfect world...screws fall out! (breakfast club)

Go to the printer properties, you can go from Start-->Printers and Faxes. Select the printer (it should say something like, HP LaserJet P1005 on DPR1260 ..... make a double click on there. Then select Printer -----> Properties. Then go to Ports, and DE-SELECT the box that says: Enable bydirectional compatibility. IT SHOULD BE NOT SELECTED. Then Select Apply, and then Acept. After doing this, the printer should start working.

Before I put this solution in (manually adding the printer step-by-step), I could print a test page just fine, but not anything from Office.

Make sure to follow each step in order. I printed off the test page and held it up to the old one and the only thing I saw different was a field named "Shared". It was blank but who knows. I'm just happy the darn thing is working!

DPR-1260 with Epson CX6600 & Dymo Duo

The DPR-1260 is pretty easy to configure and works well with my HP Laser 1012, HP Photosmart 8250, and HP OfficeJet 5610. The Operating System on the computer is what matters... as long as it's running Windows XP, Vista, or a server edition like Win2003, you should be fine. I can't speak to the Mac environment, as I don't have any experience there. As for the Dymo Duo, I can't tell you how well it'll work in this environment, but based on my experience with it and many other print servers that I've tried, I can't think of a better configuration to try. Personally, I would recommend the DPR-1260 to anyone... just make sure you follow the installation instructions in the users manual carefully, and you can't go wrong. I love mine, hopefully you'll enjoy yours as well.
