Question about KitchenAid Dishwashers
I have no idea what's going on with the dishwasher, please help!
I have a black KitchenAid dishwasher, model KUDS02SRBLO. We came home to dirty dishes and blinking lights. The dishwasher starts out with a solid green light over the "quick clean up" button after I unplug it and plug it back in. Then, after I press a few random buttons in hope of fixing it by luck, the "normal" and "quick clean up" buttons blink simultaneously in rapid succession.
I unscrewed and looked behind the kick panel for the troubleshooting instructions but it's a little more than a layman can easily understand. According to what I found on the troubleshoot guide, I suspect that it has to do with some sort of shorted circuits. Please help!

If there is not enough water, the dishes will not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).
Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.
**Water temperature Note***
To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.
Concerning the Film, or cloudy look after the wash cycle.
This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner. There are a few out there, Try Dishwasher Magic.

I have this same kitchenaid model. It would not start after selecting the wash cycle and pressing start. The light would blink as if the door was open. I did the reset by pushing the sani-rinse, heat dry, sani-rinse, heat-dry and closing the door. You can hear something going on inside. After that stopped (about 3 minutes). I was able to select the wash cycle, press the start, close the door, and it started. Good luck!

Remove power and keep aside for few hours, Allow the internal voltages to discharge and thus reset if there was an error on the processor.
Before the power is plugged check the door safety switch and also connections to the controller unit. check the inlet vavle and drain pump, if short is suspected remove and check.
If the fault returns then we need to suspect the processor controller board.
