Question about Alesis iO 26 Sound Card
Firewire resets at random, causing the unit to be at full volume every time it resets. Nearly blown my studio monitors several times because of this. it happens quickly and at random,...not enough time to turn the monitors off usually. I have contacted Alesis 4 or 5 times, and never have gotten a response. Re-installed the drivers numerous times, and have done everything imaginable to try and solve this...anyone with the same problem, and possible solution? The drivers for this unit on their website haven't been updated in a year...
This isn't a straight up solution, but it certainly helps...If you have trim (Input Volume) on your monitors turn the IO 26 to full volume and set the monitor inputs to the max that you can stand. That way when it goes back to 100% volume you dont kill your ears or monitors. I am a little worried about the way this effects my head room but its better than losing my hearing!
