Question about Compaq Presario 1200 Notebook
Well,i bought a brand new compaq presario CQ 45 -106 AU notepad some days ago.It came with the preloaded Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit Operating System. But it is very slow and working on it is very difficult.I tried to install windows XP 2000 SP1 and SP2 but the system popped up a message saying,"your computer is loaded with a newer version of Windows, please try t install the higher version than the one which is already installed".
Please let me know, how to install windows xp on my notepad now.
You need a bootable or genuine Windows XP cd. to install just put the disk in the cd rom drive and restart the computer. If that doesn't work go into the bios which can usually be entered by hitting the F2 key or the DELETE key, from there just change the boot order to boot from cd rom drive first and that should get your rolling.
