Yes it's necessary to remove waste toner, because n long time the waste toner jamed the clining (I think in the 3050 the waster toner drop by a pipe inside the drum)

Reset wast toner box on 9970cdw

Remove the full waste toner box per manual. Wear breathing protection as there will be toner dust in the air. Place flat in a work area and remove the 6 screws retaining the black box cover and carefully remove cover with box still flat on the work area. Be careful, the box is full of waste toner powder. Dispose of the waste toner by tipping into waste container, being careful not to inhale the powder. Use a blower or vacuum to remove final traces of waste toner from the box and clean all surfaces with a clean cloth. Place the box flat on the clear sight-glass at the front. Inside will be a black flag which should be down on the bottom of the sight glass. If not, there is still waste toner in the front of the box which needs to be shaken or blown out. Replace the cover and 6 screws and replace the waste toner box in he printer. If error message still says replace waste toner box, then you need to check the sight glass again. The flag must be horizontal at the bottom of the glass or it is not completely empty.

Sharp MX 2300N - Toner collection unit needs replacing, not sure what this means. We replaced toner cartridgers very recently and assume this is a container that collects loose toner particles. How do...

REPLACING THE WASTE TONER BOX
The waste toner box collects residual toner that is produced during printing. When the used toner box is full, the display
will show "Replace used toner container". Follow the procedure below to replace the used toner box.
Open the front cover.2
Release the used waste toner box.
The waste toner box will fall forward as shown.
Gently support the box with your hands as you let it fall forward
as far as it will go.
fmtx.png Remove the waste toner box.
Hold the box by both hands and lift it up slowly.
If the waste toner box falls too far forward, it will not be possible
to remove it. (Remove the box when it is at an angle of about
30 degrees.)
Install the new waste toner box.
Insert the box from above at a slant. (The direction opposite to
when you removed it.)
Push the waste toner box into the
machine.
Push the box in until it clicks into place.
Close the front cover

Hope this helps.

The feeding screw inside
the waste toner pipe
may be locked because
of an obstacle. Remove
the waste toner pipe,
and try turning the screw
by hand. If it turns
smoothly, install it once
again and see if the
problem has been
corrected. If it does not
turn, replace the waste
toner pipe after
correcting the cause.

Empty waste bucket on cannon 3050

If this is on a Canon NP3050 copier, the waste toner is stored in the drum unit. The developer unit needs to be released away from the drum unit before removing it (drum unit). There is a plastic lid to remove to empty waste toner. Use caution when emptying, it is easy to make a mess.

The Waste Toner is located in the the drum unit it self. You need to remove the drum unit & on the top of the drum unit is a white or clear rectaular cap. You need to open it carefully and vac out the toner in side the unit. FYI if you are empting the waste toner the drum is just about worn out... Good Luck

It will not copy after I emptied the waste container.

There really isn't enough information given to give a proper solution. This copier has the drum light come on steady or flashing to indicate the waste toner needs to be removed. I don't know if you're a technician or not but lay people have emptied the toner cartridge instead of removing the drum, removing the cap on top of the drum, emptying the waste toner , replacing the cap on the drum, then putting the drum back into the copier. I've never had a copier keep the drum light on after doing this.

Let me know if you need more help.
