Tie Fighter + 90Mhz Pentium = Smooth. (Plus...

By jessie25 - usenet poster

I have been playing Tie fighter on my Pentium 90Mhz the whole weekend, and
this thing is smooth.!!! No slowdowns or hickups. (I just got the Pentium
also) This has my vote of game of the year.!!! (This far anyway. :-))

Also, Tie died on me once with a Null Pointer assignment. Anybody else had
this problem.?? It happened when i moved from a combat simulator mission to
battle one, mission one.

I had my disk trashed twice over the weekend while playing Tie fighter. I
do not know if Tie fighter was the cause of it. Since i just upgraded to a
90Mhz pentium.

Anyway, all my problems went away as soon as I removed stacker from my
drive. If you also have stacker, you might want to try it.

Drastic, i know

P.S. I am also running QEMM, which might cause a conflict.

You know, any company that makes a game that ISN'T smooth on a 90 Megahertz
Pentium, (with I assume VL-Bus or PCI graphic card) should be taken out to
an empty field and shot.

My two cents. Then again, Origin will be coming out with some new games soon,
better load your rifles
