Problem in reinstalling Office 2007

I had installed Office 2007. There was some problem. So I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall. But I could not. I then tried solution on web. So I checked and found that the installer files of Office 2007 are     still there in installer and in registry entries are still there. Then I used CD of Windows Vistas (suppled by Dell) to restore Windows back to its orignal state. I used the option of upgrade in Windows. It was successful. But Office 2007 installation is
still not possible. Now I want to restore to factory setting but that option is not available when you press F8 in starting. Is it possible to get that option again? Also is a complete Vista reload is required ? This was suggested by Dell Helpline chat agent.

F11 option is for changing the boot sequence (i.e. Internal HDD/CD-DVD drive or USB drive etc.) For recovery it is F8.

If you want to recover the notebook back to day 1, it's not an F8 option. It's another F key, perhaps F11. If you're trying to do a Windows restore, that's done inside of Windows using one of the system tools under Accessories.

I have my product key but i can't put it to access my microsoft word office 2007..

You can input your product key by opening any of the Microsoft Office programs and navigating to the Help>Register menu.
If this doesn't work, you may have to uninstall Office and reinstall it with your product key.
You can re-install Office by following these steps:
  1. Navigate to Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features.
  2. Find an entry for Microsoft Office Professions 2007 and click on it.
  3. Click the "uninstall" button at the top of the window.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Reinstall by inserting your installation disk and following the on-screen instructions.

Cat search companion no longer availabel

Hi, this is only possible if you have the disk.
What you need to do is to uninstall office 2007 and reinstall office 2003. I am assuming that you were using 03, if not reinstall the the one you had before. But only do this if you still have the disk.

Please reply with the Operating system you are using and I will be able to be more detail as how to uninstall office 2007.

But basically it is going to control panel and add remove programs or programs and features and look for office 2007 and click uninstall at the top.

To reinstall the previous version insert the disk and hit install. Follow all instructions after that.

My computer crashed and now microsoft office 07 wont work

I would probably run the following before doing anything else. It may take over an hour to run.

If the above does not work, try the below. It may be a bit difficult to determine which system restore might contain the working setting for the 2007 Office as you may have generated several restore points in attempting to reinstall it. If you go back too far, the program won't be available or recoverable. Avoid going back to a point prior to its installation but walk it back to a date where it was working. That is, choose such a system restore point. This may work around your problem with reinstallation.

I am not sure how you are reinstalling the 2007 Office. Did you uninstall it and then attempt to reinstall it or did you try to reinstall it over top of the existing corrupted version? And from what source? If you have an installation file and the software key, you might uninstall the program with something like Iobit Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller, then try fixing disk errors with Glary Utilities (if you can find a version compatible with your OS). Afterwards, try installing the program from Safe Mode.

Regarding reinstallation attempts, surely it requested the "key" each time you attempted reinstallation. Before you try anything else, you might run Magic Jelly Bean and Belarc Advisor to see what the programs pull up in terms of the serial number (key). If you can't find it, you know why your 2007 Office didn't run.

Try renaming the install directory. Normal install is located C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12. Rename office12 to office12bak (just in case you need to put it back again). This will normally allow you to reinstall office again.

Problem installing office 2007.

You need to uninstall any pre-release version of the Microsoft Office 2007 system .

it seems that if you have a version of the 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in or Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS installed, this may be the culprit. In both cases, by performing an uninstall on this add-in via the Control Panel, and then installing Expression Web, everything works okay. You can even re-install the Office 2007 add-in when you're done.

Adobe Acrobat 8 does not integrate with MS Office 2007 programs

Then do a search for 'all files and folders' - search for both Acrobat 6.0 and then Acrobat 7.0, with the options "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search subfolders" checked. Delete all of those related files found.
You should do this search and delete whenever you uninstall any programs. It will remove lots and lots of leftover junk files and corrupted files taking up room on your hard drive. It will also give you a "clean install" when you reinstall or install an updated program. (Do this ESPECIALLY when updating to a NEW anti-virus programs and “Internet Security Suite” programs such as McAfee or Norton etc.)

Download and install "Registry Mechanic" then do the updates prior to running it and removing anything for the first time. This will get rid of all your current Registry errors, prior to installing or reinstalling.
