Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook
I had installed Office 2007. There was some problem. So I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall. But I could not. I then tried solution on web. So I checked and found that the installer files of Office 2007 are
still there in installer and in registry entries are still there. Then I used CD of Windows Vistas (suppled by Dell) to restore Windows back to its orignal state. I used the option of upgrade in Windows. It was successful. But Office 2007 installation is
still not possible. Now I want to restore to factory setting but that option is not available when you press F8 in starting. Is it possible to get that option again? Also is a complete Vista reload is required ? This was suggested by Dell Helpline chat agent.
If you want to recover the notebook back to day 1, it's not an F8 option. It's another F key, perhaps F11. If you're trying to do a Windows restore, that's done inside of Windows using one of the system tools under Accessories.
