Question about Konica Minolta DiMAGE E50 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Inverted image When powering on my Konica Dimage E50 the LCD image is reversed and inverted and all the icons around the screen are upside down and reversed, in the opposite corner to where they should be. When trying to shoot the image is displayed upside down, when viewing pictures store on the card, they are also upside down. Hoping you can assist or is it too late?

When I switch on my Konica Minolta E50 camera, "Error 2" appears and the lens does not come out. How can I fix it?

Solution for Error 2 on Minolta Dimage E50 is not very ease, anyway, the problem is involving the socket lens control flat. To proceed: remove front screws of camera, then check on left bottom close the lens if the flat socket ir really inserted on his plug. The socket is located under a flat cable coming from the back of camera, it is large about 1,5 cm. To test it you can remove temporally the adesive shield orange pay attention of not damage the flat cable. Otherwise if camera drop down the flat can be damaged and you need to replace the camera lenses.

Inverted image problem

Has this just happened or has it always been like this? There appears to be a a fault in the main board and only replacement will cure- So may be if the camera is more than a year or so old- time for a new one. Meanwhile do speak to the Canon Tech Support on the Web site. And whilst the matter is still not resolved ,shoot holding the camera upside down- seriously - tell me what happens.

After upgrading the DiMAGE 7 to the Optional Enhancement software, when AF is confirmed on the DiMAGE 7 the live image on the LCD stops, is this a problem?

This is not a problem. In order to achieve faster AF operation, the live image on the LCD is not refreshed during focusing. During flex focus point, the live image on LCD never stops. If you feel anxious about the live image stoping, we recommend you to use flex focus point.
