Panasonic number ring

Answering system settings
Number of rings before the unit answers a call. You can change the number of times the phone rings "Ring count"before the unit answers calls. You can select 2 to 7 rings, or "Toll saver".The default setting is "4 rings"."Toll saver": The unit's answering system answers at the end of the 2nd ring when new messages have been recorded, or at the end of the 5th ring when there are no new messages. If you call your phone from outside to listen to new messages (page 34), you know that there are no new messages when the phone rings for the 3rd time. You can then hang up without being charged for the call.

My phone rings once and shows "Incoming call" on the LCD screen and when I answer, no one is there. People calling say the phone only rings once or it goes directly to voice mail.

You have to go into the menu and reset the rings so that the phone will ring at least 4 times. Your owners manual should give you directions to do that. You can also call Panasonic.

Phone rings two rings then answers need to know how to change number of rings before answer.

I recently changed this for a friend, and we went into the menu, and scrolled to the ring function, where I think we had 2 or 4 rings for an option.
If you have your manual on the phones, it details the steps.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Answer phone responds too soon

The usual numbers of rings before the machine answers is 2 or 4. If that is not enough, you are out of luck. If it's 2 now and you want 4, there should be a menu button you can press, and when you hear "number of rings" use the up/down arrows to increase the number. Then press the "set" button. Hope that helps.

Ringer/ Voicemail Bounceback

Well, this one is kinda tricky. If the receptionist knows there's no one there, they can use VoiceMail Transfer.

From the phone, the user can set CF Busy or CF Busy/No Answer with the following codes on the intercom:

Do Not Disturb *7101 / Cancel *7100

Call Forwarding2.gif (FWD)

– Both Calls *710
– Outside Calls *711
– Intercom Calls *712

2 (All calls) + phone no. + #/
3 (Busy) + phone no. + #/
4 (No Answer) + phone no. + #/
5 (Busy/No Answer) + phone no. + #/
7 (Follow Me) + your extension no./
8 (Follow Me Cancel) + your extension no.

So, if your voice mail is 500, you would dial *7105500# to set CF B/NA for intercom and outside calls.

The last piece of the puzzle is the timing. That's *713 (00-99). Start with 24 (4 rings) and go from there. If it hits the receptionist before the forward takes place, you probably have to adjust the recall timer for call transfer, a system program.

I have a motorola V186 cell phone. When I dial a number, if no one answers after 7 rings, the phone automatically cuts out and says 'no answer', then I have to dial again. My mom is just about deaf and I...

You are lucky to get 7 rings out of any cell phone.
Cell carriers limit the rings permitted to keep the traffic down. If you call another cell, it goes to voice mail. A landline just stops ringing.

Exai918

You're not going to like this much. This model only has 2 rings, 4 rings and TOLL SAVER which answers on the 2nd ring if you have messages and the 4th ring if you don't.

A lot of the Vtech models adjust from 2-7.

Here's the manual, check out page 28 (32 pdf). http://www.uniden.com/pdf/EXAI918om.pdf
