Take the back off of the set and check the fuse if it is bad replace it be sure to uuplug your tv before you take the back off of it after you replace fuse if it is bad plug it up and see if it will come on if the fuse blows again then you have a deeper problem like the bridge shorted or transistor, restors in the power supply of the set.

let me see if i can find this set in my book or one close to it so i can give you some referance numbers on the board to check. In the mean time you could look on the bottom of the board for bad solder conections that develope form heat some you can see and some it is hard to see with out a strong looking glass. If you do look at the board remember there can be high voltage on it even if it is unpluged from ac line. I will get back with you tonight some time earley i hope.

Ok the first thing you should do is unplug tv then take a flat tip screw driver bare a peace of insulated wire on the ends warp one end around the mental; part of the screw driver and the other end attach the other end to a cable that goes around the tube this cable is silver in color, now slide the screw driver up under the gray rubber cup that is at the top center of tube that the big red wire is in. You may or may not hear a snap be sure and hold onto the handle of the screw driver so you dont get shocked. The red wire that is going through the gray cup has a spring like hook on it that i s in a hole you can see what i mean by lifting up the cup with the screw driver need to pull the red wire out of the hole cup and all.

Now that you get that done you can remove the board from the tv set the board that is on the back of the tv tube will unplug the wires that come down off of the yoke which is the big bunch of copper wire around the neck of the tube, should be a red green yellow and blue wire going into the board in one plug, also unplug the speaker wires be sure to note where you unplug everything at so you can put it back togather. now you acan look the board over on the solder side for bad solder joints resolder any that you think is bad.

Now you need to check Q601and Q602 which are a transistor that is atached to a small heat sinks also check R which is a resister 0.1 ohm 1/2 watt in value it should be white in color about as big around as a pencil and 1/2 inch long or less also there could be a transformer open may be marked T 605 on the board in the same area. Now if you have not a clue as to what im talking about or how to check these parts then i would take to a shop to get fixed but the tv is 10 years old and only a 27 inch and i probley woul by me a new one becouse the tv is realey not worth it in my way of thinking. Oh by the way the 2 transters i told you about they crose to number 2SC4834 if you order them from a parts outlet like MCM. They do make a kit with these parts in it not the transformer though. Hope this helps.

Sony KV-32S40 32" TV problem

intermittent problems can usuall be liked to bad solder connections. And sony typically has some that will develop after a few years in the power supply. so check for bad sodler connections throught the main board & give a close look to the power supply & check you work after to make sure you have no shorted pins. good luck.
