It has to be in the text format... you might want to create a folder for your book and break it up into chapters, because as it is text it will not save your spot.

How do i put ebooks on my v-touch

The V-Touch, and V-Touch Pro only support .txt files. So you will have to copy the text (story, book, newspaper, etc.) into Notepad and click "Save As." Name it what ever you want and save it to the "txt" file on your V-Touch. Then just unplug your V-Touch and go to "E-Book" on your mp3 and read away.

How do i text from my mp3

You cannot text, the unit only reads (.Txt) files. Generally these are created by notepad on your computer, A lot of Ebooks are in TXT formats so you can read EBOOKS on the MP3 Player.

I have a Sylvania SMPK4230 (4 GB), and I'm wondering what the eBook does. And if I am able to read books like I think, how am I able to download them onto it?

The manual is available here SMPK4230 Manual
The instructions for the ebook capability are on page 16.
Ebooks in text format, that is files with a .txt suffix are mentioned as being supported.

You can copy .txt files onto the device just as you can copy music or video files.
The player will display print on the screen for reading when you access those files.

I personally download ebooks to my computer and copy the ones i want to read on the go to my media player.

Other ebook filetypes are.lit, .htm, epub, and .pdf among others, but there is no mention in the manual if these are supported.

There are ebook conversion programs that you can run on your computer to convert to a type you can use.

What is ebook for and what can u do on it

Ebooks are just computerized versions of there real counter parts you find in the bookstore.

If you want to read an ebook you must find them for download on the internet via a google search. Download them to your computer then hook your Ebook device to the PC and load them onto it.

How does ebookes work on the coby mp3

E-books are text files with the extension .txt: Data that can be read on the computer with the Notepad.
Transfers from computer onto the player can be made by exploring the computer and to copy the desired script e.g. "MyText.txt" into the folder "TEXT.DIR".
Text files can be read in the E-book mode of the MP-610 afterwards.

I can't put an ebook in the ebook folder

I work for COBY tech support. Our number is 800-727-3592.

In order to see all of the files on that device, you must put the device into a different USB mode called MSC. Disconnect the device and then please follow these steps:

  1. Choose "setup" option in the main menu.
  2. Choose "system" option in the setup menu.
  3. Choose USB mode in the system menu.
  4. Change USB mode to "MSC"
  5. Go back to the main menu, then reconnect device.

Cant put ebook or movies on it

Just drag files from Windows Explorer to device make sure that when you open up device that there are the categories: music, pictures, video, playlist. Drag video to video on device, drag ebooks to playlist. Also, confirm this with Coby Media Manager.

Getting a e-book on a coby mpc7085

Hello,

Ebook files are just play .TXT files. So basicall you type something out in regular notebook on your computer, save it as a .txt file. Once it is save on your computer:

1. Turn on Mp3 player, go to settings, make sure USB mode is set to MSC or USB DISK
2. Connect MP3 player to the computer
3. Go to 'Start' button, go to 'My Computer'
4. There should be a drive labeled removable disk, double click this drive.
5. inside this drive there should be a folder labeled EBOOK, drag your .TXT files to this location.
6. Disconnect MP3 player, go to Ebook menu and you should be able to read the book or TXT file.
