Our Dacor Millennia wall oven will not heat

Our Dacor Millennia wall oven was in the middle of a Self Clean cycle when we lost power to our house. When power came back on 12 hours later, the Dacor will not heat on any of the bake or broil cycles.

There is a manual reset button behind the vent under the touch pad. Turn off the power. Open the door. Remove the vent. Behind the latch is a two wire switch. press the red button on it until it clicks. reassemble and turn on power. It over heated when the power went off by stopping the cooling fan.

My Dacor top oven stopped working while I was toasting bread pieces for Bruschetta using the broiler on high . The bottom oven was working normally. The fan in the top oven worked as normal. During the toasting process, the top oven door was partially open to full open . After all the heating elements cooled down, I pulled the breaker and I checked all the connectors to the elements. Re-powered the breaker...No help there. I figured after reading the horror stories about the control panel going out, I was in for a big repair bill. Put it all back together. Pulled the breaker and opened up the panel below the control panel (6 screws in all). There I found the infamous switch with the red button. Pressed the button. I thought I felt and heard a click. Re-powered the breaker and turned on the oven....I am a happy camper! I am guessing keeping the oven door open with the broiler on high caused an overheat condition which triggered the shutdown. You learn something new every day!

On our model, the screws were on the sides of the oven and inaccessible. We were able to look through the vent with a flashlight and saw the red button. Using a long metal skewer, we were able to press the button, and voila! it worked. Thanks!

SOURCE: My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning

I also have a Dacor Model PCS130. This solution worked AND saved me from spending $50-$105 for a service technician to come out just to look at the problem. The high temperature sensor tripped when I kept the door open part way while broiling (never listen to friends who don't have the same oven as yours). Afterwards, I couldn't get the oven to go above the prebake temperature of 135°F using any of the settings (bake, broil, convection bake, etc...). I called Dacor customer service and they told me about the high temperature sensor but wouldn't say how to reset it. They suggested I call a third party technical service company and gave me their numbers. But, I'm glad I found this site... All you have to do is open the oven door and you'll see the grille/grate/steel cover plate where the door latch sticks out of. If you look inside, you can see the electronics that operate the door latch as well as the temperature sensor unit a little farther back. You can even see the RED reset button. But, it's a little too far back for you to press it without removing the cover plate. 6 screws is what holds my cover plate in place. Once that's off, you can reach in and press the RED reset button (I pressed it twice just to make sure) and you'll hear it click. Screw the cover plate back in place. Close the oven door and test it out. It took my oven about 5 minutes to heat up past 135°F so I was unsure if the problem was fixed or not during that time. But, once the oven heated up sufficiently, the temperature began climbing fairly quickly and I was able to breath a sigh of relief. It works! This is such an easy fix, I don't know why Dacor customer support doesn't just tell us how to do it ourselves instead of paying for a service tech to come out and do the same thing. Even better, maybe they should make the reset button more easily accessible (like on the control panel) if they're concerned about people getting in and messing up the other electrical connections when trying to reset the high temperature switch. Computers are far more technically advanced than your oven and THEY have reset/reboot buttons right in front.

SOURCE: OLD GE Wall Oven doesn't heat properly

On these older ovens ther is usually always 120 volts on the elements at all times.
If you check across the element ends with it in bake you should read 240V. If not, there is a problem with the control. With the voltage drop you describe, it sounds like you are losing power on one line of voltage coming to the element.
Post back to let me know what you find out or if you have any questions.

SOURCE: dacor oven ECPS127S will not heat after self clean

the problem was fixed by opening the panel between the oven cavity and the touch panel just behinf the door. you can look through the grill but to trip the reset you must unscrew the panel. you will find the reset back behind the wires Looks a red button nestled on top not very open but it should be there> i do have to say i found a step by step description on this site. but right now i can't tell you who exactly he was.

SOURCE: frigidaire wall oven will not heat up very fast

The clock control has a relay that turns on the element. It could be failed and would require a new clock control.

Dacor single oven flashes an F2 error code and won't stop beeping!!!

This is from manufacture service manual:

-F2- Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature
Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds
“runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm
repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after fi rst checking for a stuck relay. If alarm
goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.
Another words the problem with oven sensor or relay board.

Dacor ECS230 Wall Oven Control Panel Time functions not working

Try turning the power off at the breaker for 12 hours.

I had the same problem, tried turning the power off for a few minutes but that did not fix the problem.

Leaving the power off overnight seems to have fixed it.
