Verify nothing is coming up with yellow exclamation marks in the Device Manager. To do this:

    1. Go to the Control Panel

    2. Double-click on System

    3. Click the Hardware tab

    4. Click Device Manager

If anything displays as an exclamation mark, please list them in a reply.

Go to this location for the audio driver for the acer power 1000:

External Mirror 1

It will come up and allow you to download the file. Save it to a location that you will remember. Its a zip file so you'll have to extract it first and then run the setup.exe file and it should install the sound card drivers you.

Sound not coming in win xp sp3 even after updating correct sound driver?

Do you still have the unknown device in device manager? If so, you need to install a different driver. If not, go into device manager, expand Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. For each device under that heading, right-click the device, then click update driver software, choose "Search Automatically..." It will then go to the windows update site and see if there is a driver there that is listed as more recent, and it will install that driver, if such a driver is found. If that doesn't work, make sur ethat y ou manually find the correct sound driver installer, and then right-click whichever device obviously represents the sound hardware driver, and click Uninstall. Reboot afterward. Then reinstall the audio driver. If that doesn't work, you may have to reinstall windows.

VGA driver for your latop is possible corrupted for some reason. You need to download VGA driver for free in any websearch if you don't have driver with you. Driver is used to detect the harware install in our computer. Also, check the device manager if there is problem regarding video card setting.

Apssearchinterface not found

Windows XP SP3 introduces a new .dll file that is named Wlanapi.dll. This file is installed in the %WINDIR%\System32 folder. Certain device driver installations for some third-party wireless network adapters also install a Wlanapi.dll file in the %WINDIR%\System32 folder. If such a file is installed in this folder before you install Windows XP SP3, the Wlanapi.dll file that is associated with the network adapter is replaced by the file from the Windows XP SP3 installation.

To resolve this issue, check the Web site of the wireless network adapter's manufacturer for the latest device drivers that are available for a Windows XP SP3-based system. Then, download and install the latest device drivers for the wireless network adapter. Source(s):

Usb not found aspire t160

i,d check the bios setup. to ensure that USB devices are enabled.
Or that there are no conflicting devices:- My Computer/Control Panel/System/Device Manager.
Also some motherboards, have jumpers to set the USB ports on/off.
Try using a different port if you have 1 available, or purchase an individual PCI-Card with USB Ports On.

No Sound on M-Audio Sessions

more than likely your computer is lacking the drivers to run the sound card or sound portion of your motherboard. These are included ON the motherbaord drivers CD if integrated into the Motherboard and on thier own CD if you added in a soundcard in an expansion slot.
A good way to check is to go to the control panel , click on system, then select the hardware tab at the top, then select the "device manager " button. scroll down and look for a yelloe ! or ? next to your sound device or listed as "other device".
If you find ANY of these, the drivers are missing, corrupt or NOT installed.
If you include the make and model of the computer, I can help you with some specific instruction, so feel free to post again if you need more help.. Regards
