sorry I didn't think a forum was that big of a deal and I didn't know you had a score.

I rated it thanks for trying because I was thankful that you tried!

  • kt_kab00m Mar 04, 2009

WELL!! it's a Canon EOS 650... I could still use the help.. I tried a lot of websites but I can't seem to find anything! Now I'm just taking the battery out everytime I'm done using it and it's a little tedious. Let me know if you know anything.. or if I even need to turn it off.
    Still confused. lol

  • kt_kab00m Mar 04, 2009

it's katie!! and.. yes you did. But then I noticed that the type of camera I have isn't the one you were talking about.. there is no lever and I dont know what to do.
here is the type I have.. let me know if you can help. thanks again

yep! i got it. I was becomming confused with all the posts... but in the end.. I know how to turn it off. It must just be acting up because I had it on the L setting over night and then nothing was working.. but when I removed the battery and put it back in, it was fine.. ah well. day by day

Ok, so now that you have rated 4 of my answers as Thanks for trying, it lowered my score. Alot. I tried to help you, the least you can do is go back in to each of your questions and rate my solutions as FixYa, so I don't lose my rating.

Thank you I appreciate the comment. It's great here. It's not really a forum. It's a place where you can go and have an expert help you with your problems. You just keep adding comments until you get the answer you need. We as "experts" get rated by our answers from the people we help. Anything less than a FixYa rating takes away from the experts score and he/she moves down on the list. We try to get as high as we can...while we help people.

I hope you have fun with your camera.

Next time give me the right camera model and I will be more than happy to help you out, anytime. LOL. Plus don't forget to re-rate the other solutions I gave you.

Ok Katie, I got the right camera now I think. Did the other post work for you? The one with the turn dial on the left of the camera. And you turn it to L to turn it off? - I just don't want to get our posts confused and I want to be sure your happy.

Will this lens work with my Canon rebel eos 8mgp xt

Yep these work on all D-SLR,S you might need a t-mount to make it fit you camera ,cheap as chips on the bay .Use the camera on manual mode set fstop and focus on the len,s no af on these old slook types of telephoto you may have issues at these massive focal lenght as no IS on the len,s or you canon so tripod and cable release or self timer needed .But it will work massivly slow at 2600mm so long exposure time expected .

Error 5 on Canon eos 350D

Hi there,

Well first of all you can try a full reset, Pull both batteries out -the normal one, and the date/time one. If your camera is older (>2 yrs), it may be time to replace that battery..... anyway Put a new one in, and then put in the freshly-charged main battery, that might clear the error. If further you have the same problem then something is causing the flash to stick. Press the button and pull gently on the flash. Post comments for more help or information needed.....

Good Luck!!

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Focusing screen information bar slanting

A scratch on the screen will not effect your photos in anyway, it will just be annoying to you at most. Its possible to hit the prism out of alignment but also very unlikely. If you had to **** it a little bit, its possible you may have moved the actual lcd.

I cannot use the lcd to take pics how do i use it

Canon EOS Rebel XT / 350D does not offer Liveview shooting option which newer cameras offer. It does not have contrast based auto focus system like the ones you see on point and shoot cameras either. LCD is used to review pictures taken or navigate through the menu system. Besides, LCD on the back of the camera is so small and lack the details anyway. You are better off using the small viewfinder it offers.

I made the mistake of putting ahotshoe protector from my old camera on the new EOS 400D. It stopped the flash from popping up. I took it off and things now work.
