Question about HP Pavilion ze5375us Notebook
Can you enter the bios when its first switched on? ( press F2 or F10?)
Remove power, take the battery out, wait for 5minutes then try and startup again with only mainspower. If that works, shut down replace battery and power and startup.
If none of that works sounds like faulty mainboard. You could also try and and boot from a PE disk, like Bart PE or Knoppix if you can download and burn form another PC. This way you'll also be able to get your files off easily if it is kaput.

Well your operating system isn't loading its just loading the bios. I think your xp is lost so put the recovery disks boot from there and install osx. otherwise it points to a faulty hard drive
