Hi. Check to make sure you didn't accidentally lock the card. Look at the card and there will be a switch on the side. Make sure it's in the unlocked position and try it again.

It will not let me formatt it in the camera pls help

Hello,

If you are trying to format a memory card for your camera, you can eject the memory card and insert it into your computer. From there you can either open the memory card's folder and delete each photo (one-by-one or all at once) or you can right-click the memory card drive in 'My Computer' and click Format.

Hope this helps!

Formatt memory card and battery empty!

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

    Hi

Sorry, but you can't. Once you delete photos from a camera memory card they are gone.

Screen reading memory card not initialized

It sounds like your XD card is corrupted. How and why i couldn't tell you. You will need to get the pictures recovered from the card using a special software (image recovery software, can down load for free from some web sites, or some companies can try and do it for you) and then try and format the card in the camera. DO NOT FORMAT THE CARD BEFORE YOU RETRIVE YOUR IMAGES. If you do all traces of the images may be lost.

All the best and happy snapping.
